Taxing chocolate would cause every female in this country to revolt (for at least one week out of every month). Chocolate is the only thing keeping men alive during PMS days. Even Obama has to be afraid of taxing that!

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/30/09: HOW MUCH DID WE SPEND TO FLY OVER NYC AND SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF PEOPLE?

If an individual were to stand in a theatre and shout "FIRE", what would he/she be charged with? Inducing panic, right? I would like to see every individual who excperienced the very real fear from the fly by get together and file a class-action lawsuit against the government for the same charge of inducing a panic. This was (almost) the stupidest stunt I have ever witnessed that (I'm ashamed to call them my government) has ever done.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Vent through 4/22

I have been restating a famous quote since the PATRIOT ACT was enacted: Those who would surrender freedom for security desreve neither freedom or security. Your post makes that point very clear. We allowed the government to slowly etch away at our individual rights in the interest of "safety". I feel like we are riding a runaway horse towards a burning barn. How do we take back the reins of our country before we run out of time?

Let's be fair. He had trouble finding a new church because he could not find one that spewed the hate that he was used to. In regard to your final point, I think Obama is practicing exactly what he feels in his heart, a love of power and an attempt to terminate Christianity in this country.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/13/09 - On Obama's Orders, Navy Seal Snipers Free American Sea Captain

I agree with you Navydad. According to the story I read, when the pirate held a weapon at the hostage's head, the commander felt that the hostage was in imminent danger and ordered the response. I don't believe our President had anything to do with the rescue. You are also correct that if things had gone wrong, Obama would be condemning the actions for a long time, but since the action worked, he might as well receive the credit for it. What a piece of work.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/12/09: Pirates Seize Italian Tugboat

This may come off as callous or uncaring, but while I agree that our Navy should take out the pirates holding an American citizen, the US should not bear the burden of being an international police force. Since this is an Italian boat, the Italian military, which the article states is moving in to confront the pirates, has to take the lead in dealing with this situation. Now, if other countries were to ask for our assistance in dealing with the pirate situation, then by all means we should go in with guns blazing, so to speak. However, our primary concern should be for our own citizens and property and it is to that end tha twe should be focusing our protection and might. Let every other country experiencing this problem deal with it in the manner of their own choosing.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/12/09: Negotiations Break Down in Standoff With Pirates

What does it say about us as a country when France, of all countries, will take action and we won't? I saw on the news Saturday morning that French military fired on pirates who had attacked a French sailboat, killng the pirates and saving three of the four hostages. Granted, one hostage died, but don't the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few (to coin a phrase from the Star Trek). Yes, it would be tragic if the hostage loses his life, but the ultimate message to the pirates would be: Don't mess with the US. Unfortunately, the current administration won't subscribe to this line of thinking because it won't make us popular with the EU. After all, isn't being liked much better than being respected? I for one vote for respect.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Tragedy in Binghamton New York

I have never been a beleiver in conspiracies until recently. As I watched the news coverage of this tragedy, I couldn't help but feel uneasy. Many reporters were commenting on the increasing frequency of events like this and I thought to myself that these shootings are helping to create another environment of fear that could edge American citizens toward the belief that gun control is perhaps the way to go. What is the best way to convince someone that a certain path is the right one? Show them as many negatives from the other path as possible. Would it really be out of the question for the present administration to have manipulated situations like this in order to get the population to begin thinking that gun bans and abolishing the 2nd Amendment are a good idea?

I have never been one to believe in conspiracy theories, but I would not put it past the present administration to be manipulating situations like these to drum up support for gun bans. After all, isn't that how all of the bailouts and spending bills were passed, through the generation of fear? How many more incidents will it take before the sheep begin to say "Yeah, let's get rid of these dangerous guns so that no one will be able to go on shooting rampages anymore." What are a few American lives to the politicians who can finally achieve the gun control that would effectively abolish the 2nd Amendment?

I had a conversation with a coworker this evening who is a firm Obama supporter. I asked why he was supporting Obama and he talked about the nationalized health care and the no taxes on 95% of the population. I asked him how he felt about the proposed resolution that would allow the government to conduct life evaluations prior to doling out healthcare and his exact response was (I kid you not): "That doesn't concern me, I am healthy." My point is that this is the attitude that we have to overcome from the younger generation who put Obama in the White House. They are not willing to step outside themselves and consider how these policies will affect them now and into the future. How do we go about persuading the sheep who blindly drink the koolaid that there is a lot more at stake?

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : WILL THE GITMO DETAINEES RE-SETTLED IN AMERICA BE GIVEN WELFARE?

The healthcare offered to prisoners is nothing to brag about. As a former employee of the prison system I know from experience that inmates usually have to wait for long periods of time to be seen for a medical condition and the treatnments they receive are certainly not state of the art in most cases. Oh, by the way, when we get our nationalized healthcare, we will experience the same types of treatment. Be prepared for long waits before a doctor visit or particular treatment is approved.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : "The Worst Financial Crisis In History"

Wow, another smoke screen meant to divert our attention away from the problems that really matter. Do our leaders really think we are as simple as small children who are easily distracted by a "pretty"? I for one am insulted that oue elected officials seem to think that we the people do not have enough intelligence to see through these diversions and distractions.

Well of course you are not afraid of socialism. As a young person, thsi concept has been drilled into your head throughout your educational experience. As a mother of two teenage boys and two young girls, I feel qualified to say that you will be amazed at how much your elders really know as you get older and gain some real world experience and perspective. Your opinion that higher taxes and big government are good is based on what, exactly? In what ways are higher taxes good? How is more and bigger government a good thing? I would like to hear your opinions, not regurgitated political rhetoric. You present your side of the debate and we will present our side. How does that sound? But remember, the ideas need to be your words, not any politician's or teacher's. Do we have a deal?

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : America's Wish List Pt. I

Our government leaders have recently been "encouraging" us to make sacrifices for the sake of the economic situation. I believe it is time for them to lead by example and relinquish their salaries and benefits. Those who chose to represent us chose to become servants of the people and it is time for them to begin to remember that. Since when do servants of the people earn outrageous salaries and benefits for life? Do firefighters, teachers, nurses, or police officers receive these types of perks? They are the true public servants, so why is our federal government "servants" benefiting far more than the service they do for us deserves? Why not add a requirement to the qualifications for government service that anyone seeking a government seat must have at least one full year's experience in a volunteer public service role? And by this, I do not simply mean being a community organizer, but actually serving in some public service/volunteer capacity, such as the Peace Corps or AmeriCorps. Beginning a political career with the humbling experiece of first giving back to a community would hopefully instill a certain amount of respect for the people being represented.
