Ha ha, have you actually looked at the membership of the CBI, in what way are they 'foreign' dominated. True some of our few manufacturing success stories are indeed foreign owned (Airbus, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini etc), but that doesnt stop them employing many people here in high quality jobs.

What I am still waiting to hear is what this actual opportunities are. What markets are we currently unable to trade in, what industries are prevented from exporting today? The economists for Brexit vision is one where British farming and industry is largely wiped out by tariff free access to all comers. I don't actually see that a vote winner, even more so in the virus crisis world where depending on global supply chains is exposed. GOod old Daniel Hannan described the obsession with food security and domestic food production as a caveman response that should be ignored. How is that looking today?

They will ahve to experience the impact... Wow you lot are so lost in your Daily Mail/ Telegraph bubble. The UK economy will be paralysed by a no deal, ports will be gridlocked, people will stockpile food, and our major manufacturers will start to relocate. These are all inevitabale outcomes of no deal, as that means that many of the areas of regulation that we agreed to centralise in Brussels no logner apply. WTO does not cover for exampel air or maritime safety, border checks, driving licenses, food regulations, medical licensing etc etc

The inhabitants of teh asylum want to drag the coutnry down with them.

This is all confusing. So yesterday I read the same guy and lots of comments saying we can crash out of the EU and revert to WTO terms (alhtough that also is not going that well or straightforward, witht the US and others objecting to how agri quotas are split), Redwood and others keep saying its not a problem. Now I read that we NEED to be able to sign free trade deals, even though we are walking away from 60 free trade deals we have via the EU and Fox has admitted a copy and paste approach (though the other side might not agree...).

So guys, which is it, is WTO fine and dandy for all.... or do we need free trade deals. The Single Market is the worlds largest and truest free trade areas, coving many aspects of service industries that most deals (like EU- Canada) dont touch. We can pay a bit extra (and save the billions on new custom systems, port exapnsion, job and tax losses) to avoid crashing out of the Eu without a deal, and then move forward...

So a failed Greek socialist, embittered by his own experience was 'right'. THis is really confusing. Yesterday I read that we can crash out to WTO terms with our main trading partner and half a billion wealthy, culturally compatible peope on our doorstep. Now I read that we HAVE to be able to sign trade deals. So which is it, is WTO fine or do we need trade deals...? If the latter then we can crash out of the EU without a deal... its called logic...

Of course they know somethjng nasty, Its a disaster. look at Boris's speach, what single policy or strategy did he outline...? ZERO, literally nothing. Gove's speech based on selling more cows ears to china... even that based on a lie as the EU DOES NOT require ear tags....

I am sure there are some intelligent people on here. Why do you allow your zealtory to blind you...?

Hahahahhah. Attempts by 'academic economists''' what the 3 economist for Brexit. All thee of them. All right wing nutters. Their free trade vision would be like the 1980s on steroids, whole industries destroyed including much of our faming. Read the small print, they dont even deny this.... unlike the likes of Gove and Rees Mogg.

THat will be a basically noone then. Noone in busienss with any common sense or international trading experience is pro Breixt. Explain to me why WTO is a good thing...? Everything we buy frm Europe goes up in price, our exports collapse, so we cna buy some cheaper bananas....

We are told that we need to able to strike our own trade deals, but why is WTO is so great...? You also realise the US hasnt signed a new trade deal for 15 years... dont hold your breath
