And according to my mentor John Dobson, this is a Vedantic assertion- the moment when we step beyond transformational causation past separate perceptions/illusions and into reality. John calls this apparitional causation- or as Vedantins call it, First Cause. Words are hard here, especially English words to describe what we're talking about, but put simply in a yoga cliche'- the drop merges with the ocean and becomes the ocean. I like that physical metaphors are often the best descriptors of this. Another nice way I have heard this enlightenment described is that the knowledge, the know-er and the known become one, and the subject/object problem ceases due to this merging of consciousness.
