my iphone 3g is locked for rogers canada now with firmware 2.2.1 and baseband 2.20.03, but I'm traveling to london and I have O2 line there is it technically possible that I if I ask them to restore the phone for me to work on their network only rather than the rogers one since I already have my phone, is it possible regarding the iphone software that the phone will accept this change or it's impossible

if I have the updated firmware 2.2.1 with base band 2.20.03, it's now only working for the rogers network in canada, if I change my carrier like if I'm gong to another country can they like restore the phone and just make it work on their network instead of the rogers network, meaning that it will be working only for that network in other words locked only to work for that network as it was locked before to work for rogers only
