Where would this country be, or any country for that matter considering it's D-Day, if we had no incentive to raise ourselves up and make our lives better. There would be no inovation, no electric lights, no cars, none of the luxuries of life we take for granted because what reason would we have had to keep trying and perfecting those ideas if you were not going to benefit from them. Why should I give any effort at work if someone who does nothing everyday is paid the same, is given the same credit, and advancements as I do. Our very way of life is because some brave men Wanted the opportunity to think for themselves, and make a better life for themselves, knowing they were going to have to work hard for it. They formed our Constitution and fought for our independance to ensure we had that right. Other wise we might as well all qit our jobs and go on welfare. We have become a country of soft, lazy people who are afraid to fail and pick ourselves up and try again, are our egos so delicate that we cant admit that maybe someone just flat out worked harder to get where they are?
