611 miles!! That's fantastic. I could never get JimmyV to ride that far with me. There was always one or two or three coffee shops somewhere between. :)
Excellent Rushmore and Crazy Horse photos.
And just where the heck are the photos of the Wyoming Hwy Patrol bustin' JimmyV's chops???? You know … "Up against the wall you redneck mothers!!!"

Here's a website that explains the Dalton Hwy and what JimmyV and Big Steve will experience. You will have to copy and paste into your browser.

It seems like a decade ago when JimmyV and I visited all of you when we rode our USA Four Corners. Wait 1998 is a decade ago and we rode Harleys!!!! I have great memories of stopping at the little farm in Michigan and eating lobster in Rhode Island.
Wish I was riding with them but I had my Alaska adventure two weeks ago. However, being a couch potato "command post" for JimmyV and Big Steve is almost like being there.
The glacier photo is "Bear Glacier" 25-miles outside Stewart/Hyder.
Internet communications will get better if they stay in any of the large cities/towns in the Yukon and Alaska. Wireless internet is available in many of the motel/hotels in Whitehorse, Valdez, Seward, Homer, Anchorage and Fairbanks.

Ten important advice I passed on the JimmyV and Big Steve:
10. Stock VStrom kickstand pad will sink into soft dirt and/or mud and the bike will fall over.
9. Never pass a known gas station for an unverified gas station (i.e. a GPS located gas station).
8. Roads under repair (dirt/gravel/mud) have little warning and often at the end of big fast sweepers.
7. Take care of your chain!!!!
6. Do not feed the bears! Grizzly OR Polar Bears.
5. On the Dalton Hwy, learn to like rain, mud and sludge.
4. Do go swim in the Arctic Ocean.
3. The Midnight Sun really messes with your senses!
4. Most Deadhorse hotels are "all you can eat" food.
1. Deadhorse is a dry town! BYOB
