<description>It&amp;#039;s absolutely the same for Android, you can target 1.6 and check for new APIs at runtime. Perhaps some developers are too lazy to do it.  There are lot of Android phones, but they are almost similar on API level. I just test an app in emulator and it &amp;quot;just work&amp;quot; on all phones.  </description>

<description>Yes, it&amp;#039;s really sad that you never know how long your new phone will be supported by manufacturers. There is Nexus One which is getting updates directly from Google, but one phone is not enough, people like choice.
