Fred Bloem, MD - Holistic Physician : Hormone Replacement Success - Rhythmic Dosing versus Low-Dose Static Dosing

There are many potential causes and contributing factors with regard to the development of breast cancer, which may include prior use of oral/chemical contraceptives, vaccines, genetically modified foods, nutritionally deficient diets, electromagnetic fields, cell phones, ionizing radiation from mammograms and TSA body scanners, etcetera. However, I believe that all cells in the body have receptors for estrogens, progesterone and other hormones, which explains why they are all responsive to the effects of these hormones. I don't like the term "estrogen dominance" because it makes you believe the levels of estrogens are higher than the levels of progesterone. We know that in the postmenopausal period both estradiol and progesterone levels are low. That explains why when we restore hormone levels to youthful levels and when we restore the hormonal rhythm patients regain their sense of well being. Unfortunately, many doctors believe that bioidentical hormone replacement therapy should be avoided in women with "estrogen receptor positive" tumors even when there is no evidence whatsoever that it cancer is caused by estrogens. Why on earth would the body make hormones if they caused cancer?

Fred Bloem, MD - Holistic Physician : Here Comes Health Care Rationing

It looks like we agree on many points but you may have missed the fact that Dick Morris and Eileen McGann wrote the article. It is not unusual that pharmaceuticals are being recalled so I don't agree that the testing of pharmaceuticals is always rigorous or unbiased. We have pharmaceutical companies conducting research on their own products. Many pharmaceuticals are rushed to market.

I agree. Thank you for sharing your link. Heating food destroys enzymes and essential nutrients. Many vegetables do not need to cooked. They can be eaten raw in a salad, juiced in a juicer, or mixed into a smoothie using a high speed blender. There are many ways that sprouts, raw fruits and vegetables can be incorporated into a healthy diet.

Fred Bloem, MD - Holistic Physician : Coumadin Alternatives

The following should not be construed as medical advice for which I refer you to a physician who can attend to you personally. However, I will make some general comments. It is difficult to compare dosages of EDTA, vitamin E, and Coumadin as they are completely different. Patients will likely benefit from using a combination of supplements that are mentioned in this article. Any substitution and adjustment in dosages of vitamin E or EDTA should be done under the guidance of a qualified physician who will monitor the patient's clinical status and laboratory parameters. One good source is the physician's directory of ACAM at www.acamnet.org.

The information that he brings to our attention is as relevant today is at was 12 years ago. I don't expect him to only present material that nobody has ever written about before.

Fred Bloem, MD - Holistic Physician : Coumadin Alternatives

The following should not be construed as medical advice for which I refer you to a physician who can attend to you personally. However, I will make some general comments. Being bedridden or immobile for prolonged periods is a known risk factor for the development of blood clots or deep venous thrombosis. Coumadin is a drug with known side effects that can be very serious and that often affect the skin. If the causative factor of the blood clot no longer exists (such as no longer being bedridden), I believe it is safe to stop taking Coumadin and to consider taking alternatives. However, even the alternatives may not be necessary if the patient is longer at risk of developing blood clots.

Fred Bloem, MD - Holistic Physician : Coumadin Alternatives

I am not aware of any adverse interactions between Coumadin and HCG, so I don't discourage patients who are taking Coumadin from using HCG. As you discovered, Coumadin is a drug which is known to have very serious side effects. Patients are advised and scared into never discontinuing this drug because of the potential of developing blood clots. However, if the underlying risk factors for the development of blood clots no longer exist, then the patient may consider discontinuing the Coumadin after consulting with a competent physician. The Coumadin alternatives in this article may help provide a safety net and help patients live without Coumadin without putting themselves at risk.

Fred Bloem, MD - Holistic Physician : Coumadin Alternatives

This is an article that you could show to your doctor. Hopefully, he or she will be open-minded. Coumadin is a drug with many side effects. Sometimes patients develop serious and some times fatal bleeding because the Coumadin dosage is too high. There are different causes for embolism, including prolonged immobility and atrial fibrillation. If those causes no longer exist, a physician needs to consider whether long-term Coumadin use still makes sense.

There are many different factors that may contribute to the development of atrial fibrillation. These include certain drugs, as you explained. Various forms of heart disease, including coronary artery disease and cardiomyopathy may also cause atrial fibrillation. These are more prevalent as people get older.

So, just because you cannot see the connection between certain health risks or health conditions and microwaves, such a connection could not possibly exist?

Optimal weight for someone 5 feet tall may range from about 90 lbs to 125 lbs, depending on the individual\\\'s body frame. Expected weight loss while on the HCG Diet Protocol is 0.5 to 1 lbs. of abnormal fat deposits per day. When followed correctly under medical supervision, the HCG Diet Protocol does not cause loss of normal fat or muscle tissue.

Fred Bloem, MD - Holistic Physician : The Mirena Menace: Are IUDs Intra-Uterine Disasters?

The symptoms that you are describing (severe chronic pain and a very light period) can often be explained by inadequate production of estradiol and other hormones by the ovaries. I have patients who have found significant relief and even resolution of symptoms by using rhythmically dosed, bioidentical hormones. These hormones are exactly the same as the hormones that the human body produces so patients typically do not experience any side effects or adverse reactions if the hormones are dosed correctly.

In my experience, homeopathic sublingual HCG is not as effective as genuine, non-homeopathic, oral HCG, so weight loss is not guaranteed. When using genuine oral, intramuscular, or subcutaneous HCG, patients usually see improvements in their lipid levels allowing them to reduce and, in many cases, eventually stop any cholesterol lowering drugs that they may be on.
