The ND Department of Ag stated in testimony, that if ND raw milk on a small farm sickened someone, then the bulk buyers of ND big dairy milk would not want to buy big dairy milk from ND. Sounds like a weak argument to me. They also stated that raw milk could be unsafe.  The health aspects have been thoroughly refuted for example here: http://www.realmilk.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/1... As a regulatory agency, the main issue was “clarifying” whether cow sharing was really sharing a cow or simply a clever way to sell raw milk and get around state and federal laws.

I recommended that the ND Ag Committee take our cow share contract to the attorney general to see if it is “ownership”…owners pay vet fees, get the meat after the cow share ends, only get milk when the cow is producing etc.  See if you think this contract shows ownership, many lawyers do… <a href="http://bartlettuniversity.com/bartlettfarm.us/documents/BartlettFarmCowGoatBoardingAgreement-revm.pdf

John, Would be good to figure your source of fish and check on permits for stocking fish in your state anytime. You can put fish in the system most anytime after some water testing and management phosphate etc.  Keep in mind that the fish ratio needs to match your plant draw to some extent.

Good Job John!  Notice that once the sort is done, then you move on to the standardize and sustain.  I am thinking that I need to buy or make some boot shaped stickers for the floor of our entry and put names on each set of footprints perhaps giving two sets to each person.  Then, I have been writing notes to be put into our 5S manual to remind everyone how to keep it up.  For example, I have noted who checks the water softener salt and Jonathan is to check if we need more every Thursday before going on his delivery route.  It doesn’t take long to save lots of time and headaches!  Dr Bartlett

Thanks for all of your comments Alexandria. This reminds me of Hebrews 13:17. There is a real need for spiritual leaders (husbands, pastors, others) to really know the state of the souls in their congregations.  This requires close relationships in the body of Christ  and more to really and effectually “watch your soul.” I see from the 1647 Directory of Family worship that pastors used to be much more “in your face” to know the state of souls that I’ve seen in my generation.

“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.”  He 13:17

Like Solomon, marrying a pagan is a problem, “ As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been.” 1 Ki 11:4

The exception shouldn’t be made the rule!  Strong in the faith means obeying God’s Word by the Faith in and of Christ, marrying a heathen would therefore be evidence of weak knowledge and faith in God’s Word. Dr Bartlett
14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.  2 Co 6:14

Thanks for the comments Heather.

God is amazingly good at making all things work together for good to them that love Him (Romans 8:28). His plan is being worked out in the details of history even when things don’t look the best to us (Eph 1:11).  I am thinking about several Christian couples that I know were not Christians when they married and God has done amazing things in transforming them (Romans 12:2).  I think it is fair to say that most of us Christian couples/parents know the Scriptural advice (2 Co 6:14) about not being unequally yoked, know the value of being equally yoked, have friends and family that are suffering the consequences of being unequally yoked, and want our own children and others to take the Bible seriously on this matter to ensure God’s blessing on the details of their marriage and future.

The point of God being King of Kings  even over heathen nations is an awesome thought!  Deut 4:5-8 makes the point that God’s Laws make OT Israel (and Christian nations today who implement God’s moral law with their respective case laws and general equity of Biblical civil laws, to be envied.  In our day, we call people or churches who do not teach and believe this, “antinomian,” which means against God’s Law.   The Puritans knew this when the founded America as Matthew Henry Demonstrates.
