ZodTTD: Home Of Homebrew : ZodTTD: "I'm on a boat!"

Zodttd, First off, I want to thank you for the hard work and great emulators. You've nearly destroyed my social life among other things, as I can't be torn away from Final Fantasy III on snes4iPhone. I could only be happier with an iControlPad or Wii Remote controls. Thanks! Pay no attention to trolls. Anonymity is a bitch. I have absolutely no problem with RockYourPhone. I think their implementation of an AppStore alternative is a lot more slick than Cydia, and if possible I always stick with the Rock Store. So you have my support. Keep up the great work. Have a great vacation! -Kyle

sandos and angiepangie are correct. If you are using an official SIM, you need to uncheck 'Activate the phone' in the PwnageTool ipsw creation settings. Thanks a lot for the help.

I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't matter. I don't think the iPhone is picky about what activates it. It seems like I've always had that checked. I could be wrong though. :P If no one else has any other solutions, I guess I'll rebuild the ipsw and give it another shot.

I have an ATT iPhone 3G on the ATT network and had the previous version of the iPhone firmware jailbroken and running prior to the update. I used PwnageTool to create the custom .ipsw, installed it, and proceeded to restore my backup from iTunes. Everything went well except that I am not getting an activation. I have toggled Airplane mode and inserted and removed the SIM multiple times as well. I have been using PwnageTool for a quite a while now, so I understand it fairly well. The 'Activate the phone' checkbox under 'General' was checked. I hope I haven't missed something obvious. Has anyone else had any trouble with activation?

I got it to connect and this time it read 'Softbank' with the 3G logo. It looked like things were going great so I called myself and things went perfect. But when I tried to make an outgoing call it dropped reception and stopped working. There are other people who are having the same problem with outgoing calls. Is this indicative of anything?

Version: 2.2 (5G77) Modem: 02.28.00 Carrier: ソフトバンクモバイル2.9 (Softbank Mobile 2.9) I'm still having trouble getting the unlock to work with a Japanese Softbank sim. I've followed instructions for yellowsn0w 0.9.1 perfectly, but still no go. I did however, play around with the 3g switch off and on and got the network to acquire and 'Softbank' to appear up top. However, when I tried to place a call, it immediately dropped reception and the 'Softbank' text disappeared. I also played around with the command line yellowsn0w a bit, and I have a few questions. I understand that you said 'wait for a customization writeup,' but I figured I might ask anyway. 1. Are these commands to be run after installing yellowsn0w and before rebooting for the first time? If I am correct this is why people are getting the 'open: Resource busy' errors, because yellowsn0w is already running. Though I am a little confused about this, because you have stated that the hack is only run in the boot phase. Perhaps I misunderstood. 2. What do -r and -c do? Resetting the baseband seems to accomplish nothing. And -c prints nothing. Am I to assume that that means incompatible? ;) If any of this gets attention I would really appreciate it, but I also understand how many people need help right now. Great work and thanks for yellowsn0w! Sorry you have to deal with all the rude users out there. :) I'll keep trying!

I think being rude back or doing something like permanently banning these individuals would only increase their ill behavior. I'm sure they don't want pissed little preteens launching attacks on their web server.
