As far as I remember, I've always been a spoiler seeker. I don't like to wait for the end of the story, so I'm the person who reads the last five pages of the book, who looks up the series finale synopsis while watching season 1, who just wants to know HOW IT ENDS before I decide if I want to invest my time into a story. If there really is a piece of information that will ruin the story, then the whole thing is not worth my time. This is how I interact with most narratives, and it works for me.
But it also means I hardly ever get these moments of revelation, the FUCK YOU that makes me slam the book closed so that I can process what just happened.
Second best, of course, is having these moments vicariously through Mark, and it is glorious every. Single. Time. <3

They get treated as weapons, but weirdly enough, when the weapon misfires it's not its handler that gets blamed...
