No, there are no credible scientists who believe there will be cooling. There is a huge difference between normal scientific skepticism and anti-scientific denialism. Don't get your science from extremists. Focusing in on a warming per decade and not expected trend over decades is misguided.

The story is that they knew it wasn't a bomb, but thought it was an intentional hoax bomb. It is easy to make assumptions such as this overreaction was because he is muslim, but there have been many such "zero tolerance" reactions in general. Putting him in restraints also seems a bit much. What we do know is that he built nothing, but repackaged an existing clock. If this is an intentional way to get into your top schools, it might not work for the next guy.

Precisely. As long as the evidence is sufficiently weak that we expect a significant number of innocent students involved, then actions such as changing classes and dorms seem in order. With stronger evidence, then the courts are the logical next step. The problems of the court system aren't going to be solved by the schools.

Heartbreaking indeed, but some facts would also help. Most of the refugees are from Syria, not Iraq. More than half are children, but most are muslim. The primary blame for the problem in Syria is Assad and his Russian backers. Many pundits fault the current administration for not doing enough to support the opposition, but that opposition includes Daesh and other extremists. Everyone can agree that a political solution inside Syria is essential to stop the current horror, but it is entirely unclear who the parties to such an agreement would be.

You start with competing vague definitions of neighborhood, go on to mischaracterize the proposal, list several developments that didn't happen because of neighborhood opposition (does this imply that all other development was in accord with neighborhood input?), note that this is a citizen's initiative (for no apparent reason), note that the backers and opponents of this proposal are clearly either angels or devils, and end with an apparently cogent and rhetorically brilliant point of some kind. I feel less informed now.
