"One woman said, to laughter and nods of agreement, that the real answer lay in dismantling the capitalist system, but the revolution won't happen in enough time to help anyone here now."

Yes, hahahahahaha. Because theft and murder are so darn funny. Every revolution to dismantle freedom and capitalism has led to mass murder, theft on the grandest scale, and untold misery for millions. But go ahead you ignorant socialists and communists, keep on thinking that you can stick the fork in the light socket at a different angle and get a different result than all of your socialist and communist predecessors.

Government in search of a problem again. They have no idea how to get their hands around the new economy. Uber and vacation rental sites work just fine without you bureaucrats sticking your noses into everything. Leave us alone! We don't need you or want you in our business. The internet economy works so well precisely because the government hasn't gotten its tentacles completely into it... yet.

This helped life my spirits a bit. I have been so angry about what they're doing to the road on Iris that I couldn't see straight for the past few days. But what we really need to do is organize a protest. It's the only way to get the city council to wake up.

Progressives take a lesson here- This is REAL charity. Government taking our money and throwing it at more pristine homeless apartments is not. Big difference when the charity is voluntary.

What is missing from the discussion here is that so many in Boulder pretend that biking lanes are about people commuting on their bikes. But what % of bikers in this town use the bike lanes to get to work and the store? I bet it's 10% or less. The rest of them are the Lance Armstrong wannabes who "hug the line", disobey traffic laws, cause cars to swerve around them, and are pretending they're in the Tour de France every day. We don't need more of these inconsiderate bikers on the roads, we need less of them. I commend anybody who uses their bike to commute and go shopping. I do it myself. But the wannabe professional bikers in their tight shorts are not who we should be tearing up roads for.

Holy cow, you are spot on with everything here. Very nicely said. Remember, the "green" movement is a religion. There is no place for rational thought or silly facts when it comes to their religion.

"They're paying, on average, $280 per month in rent."

$280???? Are you kidding me? Twenty years ago I lived in a run-down apartment in Cleveland and still paId $600 per month. I worked my butt off to save and pay my rent. And now we allow people to live in Boulder for $280 a month in rent, all courtesy of the sucker taxpayer. You could work a job at $12 an hour an easily cover rent and have lots of money left over for who knows what when you only pay $280 per month. It's completely insane. For $280 they should be living in a 400 square foot apartment with no air conditioning and no frills at all.

The government bites with stolen teeth. They use our taxpayer money to celebrate a tax hike many of us did not want. This should be the last straw. 100 years ago the people would have risen up at this sort of thing and would have shut down this party to celebrate the theft. Can I make a citizen's arrest and arrest the city council for this?

Here comes the green energy Gestapo. Where are your papers? Where are your disclosures? You don't have them? Come with us.

What kind of Orwellian world are we living in people? Time to stop the madness. When the green energy Gestapo come down the road we must tar and feather them. Do not give in to these green energy enviro-religion fascists.
