Yet there are plenty of pictures of Mohammad in centuries-old Persian art and manuscript copies of the Koran. Why is there no outcry over these? Why have they no been destroyed?

It could almost have been titled "Dear Liberals."
Universal freedom of conscience and expression are laudable goals. Respect for other cultures and faiths is a good way to behave...BUT (and it's a very big "but") ONLY IF IT IS RECIPROCATED.

If an ideology calls for the destruction of your faith, your system laws, you way of life, or even your life itself, why treat it with the slightest bit of deference or respect?

1. I don't care who you have sex with, so long as they are of age and they consent.
2. I don't care what you wear.
3. I don't care what you eat.
4. I don't care what you do with your hair/beard/skin.
5. I don't ask that you love one another, just stop acting like assholes towards each other.
6. Clean up after yourselves, this place is a mess.
