Over hyped CGI? Spiderman maybe...but the latest batman movies don't have a ton of obvious CGI. It's very well implemented.

I agree that spelling is needed, but cursive? Why? In this day and age, no one needs to know how to write cursive. What benefit could it possible provide?

Nope...happens all the time (or at least frequently enough). I can tell you as a ferry commuter that we are creatures of habit. I sometimes ride a bike, a motorcycle, drive the car on, or simply walk on. I sometimes have to pay attention to which method I used so that I remember to disembark the same way. So for someone who usually walks on, it would be very easy for them to accidentally leave their bike since it's not their normal routine.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Tolls to increase on 520, Narrows bridges starting Sunday | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather

I wasn't rationalizing anything. I was simply clarifying that the original comment was likely related to the 520 bridge which did not see a 45% rise as deanotoyou pointed out, but a $.09 rise. $.09 is just pennies...nine of them to be exact. The percent rise was 2.5%.

What's the point in saying Washington has the highest gas tax? So what? We should be looking at the overall tax burden for living in Washington. Every state is different. Varying sales taxes, gas taxes, property taxes, income taxes, etc. Washington has a high gas tax and sales tax but no income tax. So just looking at the gas tax is not looking at the entire picture. I found a couple of sources that rank Washington around 30 of all states in tax burden (with 1 being the highest burdon). So we're actually pretty far down the list. And for the business climate, our tax burden is very low, with Washington ranking in the top 10 for low business tax burden. Links below. http://money.cnn.com/2009/04/10/pf/taxes/state_ta... http://taxfoundation.org/article/2012-state-busin...

Despite the construction, the waterfront is still one of the main tourist draws, especially with the cruise ships. Most tourists in town don't have cars so it's not really a problem. But yes, it might keep locals away for a while.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Microsoft expands Xbox deal to Best Buy, GameStop | Technology | Seattle News, Weather, Sports, Brea

Who said a deal has to cost less over the life of something? The deal is that you get a cheap Xbox up front and higher costs over the life. It's a pretty common business model. Look at cell phone contracts. Sometimes the upfront cost is a barrier to entry. This might entice people that wouldn't buy an Xbox at $300. I agree with Howard that this is an excellent move for Microsoft and is likely the future of gaming consoles/media centers.
