I've never seen Longmont's Lunatic Fringe in such desperation. All this hyperbole and inference from so little information. And yet no real name. Fascinating. YankeeZulu, for all we know, could be the owner of the restaurant - or councilman Santos for that matter. Why can't you come to the public square without a mask? Really. You squawk about civility/discourse yet you come masked. I don't trust masked people - they're the bad guys.

It was LOUD. My office mates and I heard the crash clearly from across the street and inside our office. Bystanders said the car's motor was 'racing' - must have been - the car mounted an 8" curb and went through two plate glass windows and frames - pushing a large concrete trash can in front of it. Good thing the store was empty, the first aisle was swept clean and the second was buried under shelves and product. Store manager is a friend and I'm glad he wasn't hurt!! Lucky for the young lady driver the airbags didn't go off, THAT would have left a mark. Maybe now they'll invest in some bollards.

The Little Thompson Observatory has a website: http://www.starkids.org/ where visitors can read about the observatory, schedule viewing sessions and sign up as volunteers. There's also lots of photos of the telescopes themselves, documenting their acquisition, assembly and operation.
