I used 3.1.4 on my original iPhone 2g. It's now jailbreaked but not unlocked? My main purpose was to unlock it to use overseas when I travel. I'm out of contract with AT&T (AFAIK, I had the phone more than 2 years now), but answered "yes" to the Pwnage question if I had a contract. Anyone have any idea if that might be the reason, or any other suggestions how to unlock it? Firmware version is still 3.1.2 and my modem firmware (baseband?) was and still is 04.05.04_G Pwnage prompted me for 3.9 or 4.6 - not sure if this is the cause of the problem. Being just a doofus :) I used the "Simple" mode. BTW, for anyone who gets the 'connect to iTunes thru USB' image -- it doesn't work if you turn off your internet connection while doing custom ipsw restore. Took me a while to figure that out! Great job Dev team - don't know why I didn't do this ages ago!
