A New Way Forward on Economic Recovery : Let's talk about the crisis

Definitely I would say consider other possibilities. I think this is a time to think big and generally about the economy. Time to re-imagine our economy and its role in our democracy. Any true thinking along those lines, I believe, has to happen without consideration for politics/political parties, etc. I think that is what these June ANWF events are all about.

"this is about the financiers versus everybody else. And we are losing." Agreed. We removed that language. Thanks for the comment.

A New Way Forward on Economic Recovery : Baseline Scenario

Hi Joe, I think a clean break from the Fed and Treasury once all is said and done is really important. How would you suggest rewording that part of the platform?

Red County : Odds and ends #1 for RCW readers - WICOMICO COUNTY (MD), Part of the Red County Network

Hi Michael, Donny here from OpenCongress.org. Thanks for giving a mention to our new "Battle Royale" tool. I'm glad it sparked your interest. As for having to login before voting on bills and people in Congress, it's important so that we can make sure people are only registering one vote per item. Plus, having the logins allows us to generate social data about Congress one level deeper. So on bill pages (like this one, for example) we are able to show other bills that the bill's supporters are supporting or opposing, and the same for the bill's opponents. It helps us to spread peer-to-peer information about Congress so that people can work together to dig up important information about their political issues and start to form social networks for taking action. When the next session of Congress begins in January, we'll be taking a lot of the features to the next level, making it even easier for people to find the real story behind what's happening in Congress. I hope you'll check us out again then.
