Yeah, because everybody knows Massachusetts was a conservative hotbed when they only had Kennedys and Kerrys to worry about... right?

Breitbart.tv : Gingrich: 'Romney Extraordinarily Insensitive To Religious Freedom In America'

I think all you guys missed my point. My point was that Romney won't be insensitive to religion (as he's being accused of in the story above), and Newt WILL blow our cash much faster than he blows his own, which is really, really fast. The reason I'm not worried about Romney being anti-semitic is because he isn't. The reason I'm worried about Newt being a big spender is because he is.

I normally couldn't care less about these people, because I think they're so empty and shallow. But even knowing that, this shocked me all over again. These people were supposedly her friends? No wonder she looked for comfort in substances. "Hey yall, now that we're all here, just a couple of things.... #1, Whitney just died, and #2... let's partayyyyy!" Just awful people. What else can be said? Kudos to the classy ones that stayed away.

Big Government : Time to Repeal the Patriot Act

What 'way' are you talking about? One thing the Patriot Act changed was wiretapping foreign nationals. For instance, due to our laws, if the CIA was wiretapping a suspect overseas, and he came to the U.S., the wiretap had to be stopped, which is beyond stupid. The Patriot Act allowed the U.S. to keep preexisting wiretaps on foreign suspects even inside the U.S., which was impossible before. It also used to be that Americans traveling abroad weren't held to the same wiretap standards as Americans in the U.S. The CIA could wiretap Americans outside America with impunity, but the Patriot Act now requires a warrant for that. I am no fan of the Patriot Act, but to act like every word of it is garbage is dishonest.

Big Hollywood : Daily Call Sheet: George Lucas Thinks You're Stupid, Cable On the Decline, and Happy Friday

Lucas has made bank off of nearly every segment of America, and now he's messing with what we've already paid for. Like commissioning a painting of yourself and 25 yrs later, the artist returns and paints you a moustache that you don't want, simply because after thinking about it for 25 years and not doing anything else except horning in on other people's paintings, he's decided you'd look better with a moustache. And oh yeah... he doesn't care that you've NEVER had a moustache. It's his painting after all, not yours.

Big Hollywood : Daily Call Sheet: Youth Move Online, 'Bridesmaids' Takes VOD Crown, Denzel Waterboarded, and Cancel

ESPN is already firmly involved in streaming. ESPN3, now called WatchESPN, is huge. Take a look. Not only do they carry the events you MUST see (like last nights Duke/UNC game that came down to a buzzer-beating finish, which you can watch in it's entirety, for free, right now), but they also carry things you usually don't get a chance to see, like Rally Car races and the American Le Mans series, and a TON of other sports. The problem with ESPN streaming in the past was that they didn't make their marquee games available for live streaming a lot of times, pushing people to watch the headliner games on traditional cable. But if you're a BBall junkie like me, and you NEED to watch as many games as possible, ESPN streaming is a no-brainer. You have to do it. If ESPN were to decide they'd like to make streaming their focus and cable their afterthought, they're already extremely well positioned to do so.

Breitbart.tv : Gisele Bad-Mouths Patriots Receivers After Husband Brady's Super Bowl Loss

She's in a really unique position. Her husband's team was only in the Super Bowl because he's so good. Their running game sucks... defense sucks.... offensive line is not good... they have one good WR and one great TE, but he was hurt yesterday and only caught 2 passes. So yesterday, the Pats had Brady and Welker, and almost won the Super Bowl anyway. There were a ton of dropped passes yesterday, but the Patriots need to address the problems on their team if they want to win it all again. They need a real RB, a 2nd good WR, a better O line, and better cornerbacks & linebackers. Brady is so good, most people don't realize that without him, they'd have been worse than the Colts were this year. Without Brady, we're talking about 0-16, not even 2-14, and the Pats wouldn't even have been dreaming about a Super Bowl loss. I like that she defended her husband, but she just made his life harder in the locker room.

Breitbart.tv : Romney 'Not Concerned About The Very Poor'

Big Hollywood : What Shoulda Won? 2000 Best Picture Academy Award

I prefer Crouching Tiger. Of all the movies on the list, I've seen them all once, but I've seen CTHD 4-5 times. It's really two love stories that are played out through intense action sequences. This movie was really the arrival of Wire-Fu in mainstream hollywood movies, and however much it sucked in other films, it was perfect in this one. The fight in the treetops is a seminal moment in film making.

I really enjoy his movies, including Annie Hall. One of my very favorites is one called 'Shadows and Fog' about one night in a Transylvania-type town with a mad killer on the loose. It's really great.

Big Hollywood : Marvel Studios Now Making the Lazy Comic Cash-Ins It Was Founded to Replace

I don't consider myself a huge Whedon fan, but I'm pretty familiar with his work, excluding Buffy and Angel. I own every issue of his Astonishing run, and honestly, nothing is coming to mind concerning liberal vs. conservative philosophy. I can't remember any emphasis either way. But he does have a habit of portraying government and large institutions as oppressive oligarchies. Maybe that's it. Also, Firefly is very libertarian, although the 'heroes' are not necessarily good examples of libertarians. But he shows an oppressive, over-reaching government bureaucracy opposed by individualist, capitalistic profiteers.
