Good point.

Even if most individuals won\'t spend hours combing through unsuccessful projects, I\'d personally love to be able to do some analysis on failed projects. This stuff is super-interesting to me in the aggregate.

For instance, there are correlations between campaign length, number of rewards, reward tier spacing, etc., and campaign \"success.\" I\'d love to know more about these for successes and failures.

Also, it\'d be helpful to know, for instance, which categories have the highest success rates. Or which funding tiers receive the most backers. Sure, you can tease this information out of a dataset that only includes successes, but including failures would round out the picture.

My intention wasn\'t to suggest a scandal of any kind. Simply to highlight an interesting design decision :)

When it comes to crowdfunding campaigns, I think it\'s worth looking at what works, and what *doesn\'t* work.

If I was planning a KS campaign, I\'d want to avoid making some of the same mistakes previously failed campaigns have.

Yes. It's called wget or curl. Smarter, but for more people, more difficult.
