Such a great (and probably undeserved) compliment, sir. Thanks. :) If I may ask, what category did you judge?

DeanTastic! : On the Senate Hearing on the Kho-Halili Controversy

Well, to be fair to our senators, if by "thinking like a legislator" you mean "not knowing how to prioritize and legislating for personal and political gain instead of for the good of the people", then I must say our dear senators think very well like legislators. ;)

Hi, Caiie! I'm a senior, so this year will be my last chance to participate in the SPCs. God willing, I hope we can meet up in NSPC 2010! ;)

Yeah, the DepEd does make some pretty silly decisions, huh? LOL. And I agree—the memories, experience and added knowledge one brings home from the NSPC, regardless of whether you won a trophy, are priceless. Thanks for dropping by! :)

DeanTastic! : My PhilHosting Horror Story

Wow. Sorry to hear about your experience. My current hosting provider is Page.Ph and so far I've been quite satisfied with their service. A big-name hosting company like Hostgator or Bluehost might be more suitable for a site like yours, however. Good luck!

Yes, Ruel Mindoro is the owner of PhilHosting. Says so on his LinkedIn page - http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/ruel/mindoro. With the way they treat their customers, I'm surprised the government doesn't have them on their radar yet. (Or not, with the way government works in this country.)

Deantastic Tech : From Windows to Linux: Part 1 - What's Linux and Why You Should Switch

I'd recommend doing it on the cheap. If you have a spare or rarely used PC lying around, that'd be okay. Linux isn't too demanding, system requirements-wise.

DeanTastic! : Earth Hour for Our Earth

The Earth does deserve more than just flipping switches off for one hour. "Earth Hour", as I said, wasn't an effort to save electricity, but rather an effort to save the Earth. The event hopefully raised awareness for Climate Change and called to action those who are still complacent about Global Warming. Earth Hour was part, and not the entirety, of my contribution to Mother Earth. Earth Hour may be tokenism for those who took part in it but live otherwise environmentally unfriendly lives, but not for people who seriously want to help in the fight against Climate Change. Thanks for the comment.

Ah, yes! Songbird! I'd forgotten about that. Hehe. I actually have it on my system and I *love* it! Haven't tried syncing my iPod with it yet, though. You see, the last time I plugged my iPod into my laptop while on Linux, my album covers got jumbled. I still heavily rely on Photoshop as well as Lightroom (both Adobe products). Tried to work with GIMP, just couldn't get used to it, although I hear there's a plugin to make GIMP look more like Photoshop. As to the office suites, however, I think OpenOffice is starting to grow on me. Then again, I reckon it won't really matter—a few years from now, we'll all be using Google Docs. ;) I'd love to come to the release party, but I'm in Mindanao, a Php5,000 plane ride away from Manila. LOL. I'll have to pass on this one, although I *might* be able to come to the Kinky Kangaroo or Libog na Lizard release party. LOL. Thanks for the comment, dude! Appreciate it :)
