Thanks for the heads up Michael! The bill has been referred to the House Committee on Financial Services chaired by none other than Barney Franks! You think this will make it out of Committee? 42 out of the 71 committee members being democrats with Barney leading the pack?

I just shudder when I look at some of the legislation that has been steered to this committee.

Thanks for the heads up, Dick! When someone like Warren Buffett calls derivatives "Weapons of Mass Destruction" we ought to pay attention. I am taking your advice and researching using those key words. I am finding I need, though, a more elementary lesson before I can assess the information to come to any conclusion. I thought if anyone else were interested, but, like me, they needed a bit more background, that these links might help start them out.
