Big Hollywood : Gwyneth Gives Philanderers a Pass

These actors are only irritating if one makes the mistake of taking them seriously. Paltrow, and others like her, are not normal. They have piles of money and an inflated sense of self-importance due to the curse of "fame". They actually believe -- we're taught to believe -- their opinions are valid and important. People like her are, in essence, no different from small children who "play pretend". She's surrounded by people who perpetuate the sad lie of her importance. She really should be pitied for what amounts to a wasted life. She never has, and never will, get to experience the kinds of things which build character and cause us to mature as normal human beings. Seriously, I feel sorry for these people. They're living in a prison of illusion, lies and "yes men", but think they're living a wonderful life in a castle. It's all very sad and I wouldn't trade places with one of them for *anything*.

Breitbart.tv : Dick Van Dyke Returns to the Stage

We live at a time when people are way too cynical and critical. Look, this is just one example of entertainment, out of thousands. If you don't like it, then don't watch it. There's no need to put it down or to criticize Mr. Van Dyke simply because you don't care for this particular performance. Participate in what you enjoy and leave others to do the same. I can't help but to add that most of you will never live 85 years, much less be fit for any kind of work should you reach that ripe old age. Give the man credit for not just sitting at home wasting away his days. I think what he is doing is fantastic.

Breitbart.tv : Reid: 'But For Me, We'd Be in World-Wide Depression'

Let me see . . . Al Gore created the internet, Harry saved the world, Ted Kennedy was a lifeguard, Clinton did not have sex with "that woman" and Obama gave us an open, transparent government with five-day on-line access to bills and cameras in every meeting. Oh, and Nazi Pelosi says the Catholic Church supports abortion. Oooookay. Time to send in the nice men with those funny white coats that tie in the back.

Big Hollywood : Gay Sex, Killing Bush: The Outstanding Bravery of the Wachowski's

As Dear Old Dad would say, these people were hit with the big end of the ugly stick. Okay, lets pretend Hollywood didn't exist (please, God, make it so!) and these delusional freaks had to find real jobs. Based on appearance alone, where would you expect to see them working? My answers: The bald dude looks like either a mortician or someone who works at a mattress store. The middle one looks like a freaky piano teacher while the one on the right says "running a register at a tattoo/piercing shop would be pushing the limit of my abilities". There you have it. Real Life losers=Hollywood royalty.

Breitbart.tv : Maher Drops 'N-Word' on CNN; No Reaction From Larry King

Bill Maher' has accomplished nothing of value in his entire life. He is too in love with himself to even get married, meaning, he has never been able to man-up and make that commitment. The guy is in his 50s now and enjoys creeping around the Playboy mansion gawking at equally self-centered and brainless girls in their 20s. Why, oh why, does this vapid old creeper have a TV show in the first place? Do people actually watch his show? Not only have I never seen it, I've never even passed it channel surfing. What gives him the right to be taken seriously about anything apart from the entertainment business? Oh well, maybe he's just one of George Soros' little lap dogs who performs tricks for financial treats.

Breitbart.com : 17 gunned down in Mexico fiesta slaughter

Mexico's problems can be summed up in three words: Massive Government Corruption. The police and the politicians have been corrupt for decades. Therefore, the inmates are now running the asylum. Mexico has the workforce and the resources to be a world superpower. Their sin is allowing the thugs to "buy off" those who are in power and thus rule the country. Until the Mexicans get sick of this and rise up against the corruption, we need to close the border and enforce the immigration laws. US companies should also be banned from continuing to build factories in Mexico. Basically, we need to shun Mexico until it cleans up it's act. If we do that, Mexico would eventually prosper and their people wouldn't have to come here for work. Problem solved.

You're 100% wrong. If drugs were legal they'd be taxed. If they're taxed they'll cost more. If they cost more, drug users will still seek out untaxed, illegal drugs. Which means, the same problems that exist today would continue. All you would be doing is adding additional layers of government and more law enforcement in order to enforce and monitor the "legal" drugs. The ultimate answer is 1) drastically shrinking government. 2) drastically shrinking taxes and 3) Arming the citizens so we don't need such a massive police force. Once we accomplish the three items above, then we'll talk about drug laws. Focusing on drug laws as a first priority is totally backward and would be counterproductive.

Breitbart.com : Moscow mayor calls gay pride march \'Satanic\'

"Homo" = "same". Phobic = "irrational fear". Thus, "Homophobic" = an irrational fear of things which are the same. So, how can they claim Moscow's mayor is "homophobic"? My point is, the word "homophobic" is meaningless in regard to homosexuality. And, a rejection of homosexuality has absolutely nothing to do with having an irrational fear of the behavior itself. I know of no one who has an "irrational fear" of homosexuals. Disapproval, or even hatred, does not necessarily imply an "irrational fear". If homosexuals want to be taken seriously, they need to be intellectually honest and stop using a meaningless term to describe their detractors. Example, do staunch democrats have an irrational fear of republicans?

Breitbart.com : Reality show mom gives birth to 19th child

I usually avoid "reality" shows but did watch one episode about these folks. They pay their own expenses, hubby owns a business and they're not receiving government assistance. In that regard, they're more independent than many others. However, in the episode I saw, they did have volunteers who assisted with the massive amounts of laundry, food preparation, etc. That bothered me and made me think that these people are quite self-absorbed. It's kind of like saying: "We have all these kids, we can't handle it on our own, so, can you help us out?" There are plenty of nice, giving people who never say "no" when asked to lend a hand. It seemed to me that they were taking advantage of other people in that way. The hubby also seemed smug and arrogant, as though they deserved the attention simply because he managed to keep his wife constantly pregnant. In my opinion they can have 756 kids and I could CARE LESS, just as long as I don't have to pay for them. Unless hubby has a big pile of cash, if he were to kick the bucket, they'd be in serious need of more "outside assistance". That's not a situation I would choose to put my family in. So we stopped after having four kids and I have tons of life insurance.

Breitbart.com : Schwarzenegger rules out another run for office

You're dead wrong regarding Prop 13. It was, and is, a conservative anti-tax law which the liberals hate. The solution is NEVER higher taxes. The solution is to CUT CUT CUT government spending. CUT welfare. CUT "free" government services. CUT the millions being handed out to illegal aliens. CUT anything and everything aside from what is necessary for public safety and commerce. I have four kids and I'd love to see every single government education facility (a.k.a. "public school") closed. Privatizing education would reduce the budget by billions while dramatically increasing the results of education. After 12 years in the current government system, many Kali kids graduate functionally ileterate and unable to perform basic math. The exceptions come when the parent's are directly involved and take responsibility for their kid's education. Shrink the State, leave people alone, repeal taxes and the private sector will always create a better, more affordable solution. Every time . . .

Hollywood Liberal Arnold placed California under the burden of the "Global Warming Solutions Act" which, in effect, mirrors Al Gore's "Kyoto protocol". Perhaps Arnold, like Gore, is heavily invested in corporations which sell/trade "carbon offsets"? Lots and lots of money to be made from the stupid sheeple who are so easily lead astray. Arnold also failed to veto a recent ammunition bill whereby responsible gun owners in Kali will have to be finger printed in order to purchase ammo! That starts up in Feb. 2011 You see, guns are protected by our pesky US constitution, so libs like Arnold are now going after ammunition. Who cares what America's Founding Fathers intended by enacting the 2nd Amendment, eh Arnold? Why should you care, you're from Austria, right?

Breitbart.com : Danish film of neo-Nazi gay affair wins Rome fest

Very good point, Mickeymoda. To elaborate on that, I once heard a minister talking about people who decide to hate God after suffering some kind of negative experience in their life. For example, the death of a loved one. He mentioned that birth defects, disease, death, etc., are all results of sin being introduced to mankind because of Adam's Original Sin, which you referenced. His point was we should choose to hate sin and sinning and not God. Hating God because of sin is completely backwards. For this discussion, assuming a person was born homosexual, the best response would be to hate sin, pray for strength to live a godly, celibate life and be thankful to God that he sent His son to die for us and the Holy Spirit to guide us through our lives. Too often though, people blame God for the destruction caused by sin and, tragically, seal their eternal fate because of it! I once went through a very tough time when I was a younger Christian. I, stupidly, was mad at God and was contemplating walking away from my faith. However, I realized at that point that I could not simply choose to not believe. The evidence for God's existence and the truth of Christianity is too overwhelming. I believe may people, deep down, know God exists (Satan certainly does!) but they hate Him. They may comfort themselves with all sorts of arguments against God, etc., but they are not truly at peace because they know God exists. The only real solution is to make our peace with God through Christ and enjoy His love, forgiveness, strength and guidance for the rest of our lives on the earth. I've been a Christian for almost thirty years now. Though some here might disagree, I consider myself a "thinking man" and have studied all major religions. I also studied philosophy in college. In the end, I'm convinced, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that God is real and that Christianity is true. If that were not true I, for one, would not still be a practicing Christian. Nor would I raise my kids to follow something I wasn't 100% convinced of.

Celibacy may or may not be natural. Mostly, I agree with you that it isn't; at least it isn't normative. The Bible says it's better to marry than to "burn with lust". Marriage is defined as being between a man a woman. The Bible also clearly says homosexuality IS against the natural order which God created. You may not like that view, but it is consistent within itself. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, God's words written down by men. In effect then, He has told you that homosexuality is wrong, you just don't like how He old you. If God can create heaven and earth and all creation, I suppose he can publish a book and ensure it's accuracy through the centuries. ;-) Believe me, there's lots of things I don't understand about God either. My daughter has juvenile diabetes. I don't know why, but I just deal with it as best a parent can. While some may be born without desire for the opposite sex, more often I fear young boys are lead astray by selfish, older homosexual men. In that case, I believe a man could find his way back to a heterosexual lifestyle. I've seen it happen and have heard others speak about their experiences in this area. I know their path was not an easy one, to say the least. Try to get your mind off of the "here and now" for a moment and contemplate your eternal soul. Is there anything here, in this temporal realm, which you're willing to loose Heaven for and risk an eternity in the "other place"? Nothing I can imagine is worth that risk!

What you experienced was tragic and clearly wrong. Your (understandable) Christophobia is not without merit, based on your experience. Trust me, I too have seen more than my share of hypocrisy within various Christian organizations. I too have been terribly wronged by people claiming to be "Christian". The Bible says we are to judge someone by their actions, not their words alone. I seriously question the faith of anyone who would drive a young man to the point of wanting to kill himself, or treat you in the manner you describe. What I had to learn was not to blame God for the actions of idiots who claim His name but are actually "wolves in sheep's clothing". I can only encourage to not give up on Christianity due to your negative experience at one badly run "Christian" school. If you do give up, that would be the ultimate tragedy.
