WAVY.com : US Census: Fact vs. Fiction | WAVY.com | Portsmouth, Va.

While Mr. Moody accurately portrays details about the 2010 Census, he overlooks all the other important surveys that the Census Bureau conducts. The U.S. Census Bureau is responsible for collecting data that produces statistics on employment, unemployment, income, inflation, health, crime, housing, and a host of other important statistics. One survey that a caller mentioned was the American Community Survey. This is a legitimate survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau. More information can be found at http://www.census.gov/acs/www/ This monthly survey is the replacement for the long form for the 2010 Census.
