Big Journalism : New Tone: Dem Rep. Steve Cohen Likens GOP to Goebbels

I'll give you partial credit on this one. District 9 is pretty much the city limits of Memphis. This is an area dominated by a majority population of "entitlement minded" people. There are more people on welfare than there are taxpayers. Due to corrupt local government over the past 25 years, most of the taxpayers voted with their tail lights and left the city. Some moved outside the city into the county and others moved to neighboring counties. What is left is slowly turning into another Detroit. The local goober-mint keeps raising taxes claiming it's all for the children and other various excuses. It's not that we choose to elect this a**clown to congress, it's that we are outnumbered here. The majority population (read: majority welfare recipients) vote overwhelmingly democRat and there aren't enough numbers to overcome that. There have been a number of candidates on the Republican ticket, but they just don't stand a chance here. As I stated before, this town is well on it's way to becoming another Detroit and we see how well things have worked out for Detroit.

Big Hollywood : Trailer: 'Salt' Opens Everywhere Friday

Awww man, another shaky cam? They can count me out. I refuse to see another shaky cam movie. Enough with that tripe. If I want to watch something that looks like homemade, amateur footage, I can always check out youtube.

Big Hollywood : 'Captain America' Director: 'This is not about America...'

Ya know, Captain Mediocrity just doesn't have the same ring to it as does Captain America. Not only will I NOT be seeing this movie, I will NOT even download it via alternative means. A movie has to be really and truly a big, steaming, pile of dog excrement if people refuse to even download it via the aforementioned alternative means. :p

Big Government : Did the SEIU-controlled NLRB Blackmail Company Owner?

"Simple... SEIU gets their legal fees from their members. " You forgot to mention they also get their money from bailouts, "stimulus" funds, and other goobermint handouts. Unions spend money on politics and thug tactics then demand money from the goobermint when they run out of money. Heaven forbid they should actually use union member dues to fund union pensions and other assorted union so called "benefits".

Hmmm, interesting point. I wonder if there would be problems with the pressures at that depth and crushing the explosive before it could be put into place.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Hey GM, want more bailout money? Your CEO has to go.

Sooooo, does this mean the current administration is now going to step in and run GM? Well why not, the federal goobermint sure does a wonderful job running everything else, huh? I'll insert my [/end sarcasm] tag here.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 65,000 People Ask Notre Dame to UN-INVITE President Obama to speak

I am a Catholic and I sure as heck did not vote for "the chosen one." I do not agree with his agenda to bankrupt this country. I do not agree with his beliefs (as given by Mr. Teleprompter), nor his politics. I am having a hard time trying to figure out WHY the leadership at Notre Dame would allow "the chosen one" to speak on their campus. Could it be they are doing it for the publicity? Are they hoping for some crumbs from bailout mania? Such a sad day when the university leadership falls all over itself and become one of the slobbering masses following this person as if he were the next coming...

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Homeland Security Bolsters Security Forces On The Southern Border, But Still No Fence

As far as I'm concerned, the people crossing the border, into our country, illegally are not "migrant workers". They are "illegal aliens" by entering into our country illegally. These illegal aliens are a drain on the economy and the legitimate American taxpayer. These illegal aliens do not pay taxes yet they get health care, child care, housing, jobs, education. They get more benefits than many legitimate American citizens. Why? I agree there should be reform...reform as in ship all illegal aliens out of our country. Require official photo identification such as a driver's license or an official State issued photo ID before any and all benefits (such as housing, jobs, education, etc) can be granted. Make it a criminal offense to employ illegal aliens...punish the employers. Next, build a structure similar to the Berlin Wall. For examples of such wall see: http://www.dailysoft.info/berlinwall/history/fact... I feel that it is because of the millions and millions of illegal aliens all ready in this country that makes it hard to gain legal entry into this country. By putting up a wall similar to the Berlin Wall (4th generation wall) it will act as a much better deterrent than the joke that is the current wall. I am proud to be an honest born American citizen and I am concerned with the direction our country is headed. It has to start somewhere.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Newspapers As Non-Profit Entities?

Here's a thought:environmentalists love to spout off about "green" this and "green" that...what about the impact that newspapers have on the environment? Think about it, newspapers are made with paper, which comes from trees. Trees that have to be cut down, thereby leading to the cries of "killing the rain forests." What about the ink used in newspapers? Sure, there are claims that it is a soy based ink and is more friendly, but it's not totally friendly. Next, what about the plastic that the newspapers are bundled with. Plastic is not exactly environmentally friendly, now is it? Then the newspaper bundles are loaded on a pallet and moved by a forklift which runs on fuel and uses oil. Then the pallets are loaded on a truck and driven all over the area. The trucks run on fossil fuels, which emits "evil greenhouse gasses" and that's not environmentally friendly either. Not all the newspapers are sold so what do they do with the leftovers? Some of the newspaper may go to recycling. Most of it goes into the landfills and there have been protests over these "evil" landfills. Next, they cut down even more trees and the process starts all over. So, yeah, keep printing newspaper so I can read two day old news with a left slant (while claiming to be objective) and get black "stuff" all over my hands. I think I'd rather inconvenience a bunch of electrons and pixels and have up to date news.
