it's not just about then medium...first and foremost it's about the "product" that you begin with and with the story that goes along = change!

Brett, I think I have covered a lot of the aspects already - you can check http://dimitriosk.tumblr.com/post/78296761/bye-by...

To answer your points:
1. No, they don't have every album recorded, nor will they in the foreseeable future. Yes, the catalogue is very good nevertheless!
2. Swedes & Scandinavians have a fascination with music. The government gives equipment (guitars etc) and a place to rehearse for FREE to aspiring bands
3. They have a premium version that is ad free (10 euros a month) or a free version with ads (2 spots every 30 mins & skyscraper ads on the browser). Labels like this, because the ads are more targeted!
4. I don't know why people have a fascination with recommendations, because currently the engines are bad, VERY bad. Especially the part where the engines make suggestions based on what other people are listening. Spotify uses the Allmusic.com engine for reviews / recommendations which is not that bad - thank god they didn't use last.fm!

Very interesting points raised. What is important then is to carve your own niche and have people follow you for the value you offer or your content. Car insurance is a commodity product offered by dozens of providers and the only differentiator is price - the lower, the better.

Some of the biggest success stories out there have never advertised, which stresses the importance of having a killer product. Advertising average products simply doesn't work that well any more!

The main men behind the two bands Mike Patton (Fantômas) and Buzz Osbourne (The Melvins) are very close friends and the Melvins are signed to Patton's label, Ipecac Recordings. Buzz also plays the guitar for Fantômas!

This is not a real band, in the sense that they do not record albums. They perform tracks from the Fantômas & Melvins discography - the track they are playing here is taken from Houdini, a Melvins album issued by Atlantic Records (i.e. Warner Music)!!!!!

The 2 bands originally teamed up for a once in a lifetime performance on 31/12/1999, but have kept on playing together!

Seems you have a heck of a lot of impressions and you are placed very high, which is very good.

2 guesses:
1. You are targeting people not interested in what you are offering
2. You do not have a compelling, actionable proposition
3. Do you have ads in english or in portuguese???

Tweak keywords and ads. Play around. We did that with Utku for our campaign and we've noticed considerable increase in our CTR
