Daily Camera.com: : Disciplinary cases for pot at CU-Boulder down, alcohol busts also drop - Boulder Daily Camera

hey CU - how about you just QUIT WORRYING ABOUT THE WEED. If it were to take the place of alcohol, there is NOTHING BETTER that could happen at CU. And it does take the place of alcohol, and it makes for much better/less risky behavior. Quit worrying about whether someone smells like weed. Howabout if there aren't OTHER CRIMES going on at teh same time, you just ignore pot use alltogether?

times have changed. the area needs new thinking. downtown certainly doesn't need a meat processing plant there. It would be a great place to open a medical marijuana grow op and retail, don't ya think?

Loveland Reporter-Herald : Letter: Legalized marijuana is creating Colorado mischief - Loveland Reporter-Herald

LOL. There are always going to be a few. So far, legal for OVER a year now, sales just going into effect... no big problems, and we're saving TONS of money. Tell your Texas relatives that! "According to the Colorado Center on Law and Policy, by removing criminal penalties the state has saved anywhere from $12 million to $40 million dollars over the last year. (Others have estimated the state spends over $60 million enforcing marijuana prohibition at the levels now legal, so the CCLP estimate is probably on the conservative side.) Over the last decade, the state has averaged over 10,000 arrests and citations per year for minor marijuana possession at the levels now legal in the state."

Daily Camera.com: : Colorado Oil and Gas Association gives $600K to fight fracking bans on Front Range ballots - Boulder

I just don't understand WHY they need to frack and drill right near where people live. There is SO MUCH SPACE in this state that is not on top of people. The need to do this on top of residential areas just seems selfish. Don't they care about public perception? They could do much better at that.

$24K. For a search for a library director. I am SURE there is someone in Boulder County that would do an awesome job. Nobody in Boulder government wants to take the responsibility for the search and the candidate, so they spend 24K to wash their hands of the process. what a waste of paper.

Daily Camera.com: : State mulls water testing, new setback rules for oil and gas wells - Boulder Daily Camera

99.5% of Colorado is NOT right on top of residential areas. The cities have made it EASY for the O&G industry - with cheap water and easy access. If the O&G folks weren't fracking right next to houses and schools, the fracking issue would be far from most people's consciousness, but the lure of the easy front range drills and the ability to buy water from our towns cheaper than we can buy to boil potatoes or flush with is surely an addiction they don't want to give up. Don't believe the hype - there is TONS and TONS of money in these companies, and they can afford to do more rural work, cleaner work, and they can afford to pay higher fees for scarce resources used to do their mining. (i.e our water.)
