The only problem I see with marking EXEMPT is that the politicians will probably take theie money and not pay the military, etc.

There already is a legal group fighting the ACLU. It's the ACLJ-the American Center for Law and Justice. Jay Sekulow is the founder and they are fantastic.

I agree. Someone reported me "deceased" 5 years ago. No death certificate, nothing. The credit bureaus say I have to prove I'm alive, i.e. get a complete physical workup etc, send it to them, and they'll decide if I'm dead or not. The govt., though says I'm still alive and have to pay taxes.

People need to calm down and know that we can control ourselves. I think Obama wants this stuff to happen so he can declare "martial law". It will not be good if that happens.

Okay, I just had to post this--with all the "cap and trade" and "global warming" crap going on, I just want to say, "I just woke up this morning in the Hills of South Dakota to snow storm number 3 ( in two weeks). It doesn't exist--I trust the Farmers Almanac more.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Tea Parties

After a lifetime in the service of our country we retired to a small acreage in the hills. I've always had a survivalist hidden in me and now is the time for her to come out. We have always grown and preserved our own crops but now it seems to be a need. We are also raising our own chickens ( the eggs are great) and plan on butchering this fall. People need to prepare for what could happen and realize that everything is a learning experience. I know my in-laws think we'recrazy (they are in L.A.) but I know we'll be okay through all this. I do worry about them though. None of them would ever leave there, or if they do it'll be bad by then and maybe impossible. I believe that we as a country can survive but also know that we could lose it if people don't act. Anyway, after all this rambling, I think people should work on community gardens, etc. to help like-minded neighbors out. Know this sin't the right place for this comment but wanted to reply to yours. dhollinger1@msn.com

Completely get it--military for 23 years. We had to work for Everything we have. We've raised three children, very well I might add. We've always had to work, and yet, it never seems to be enough to support everyone else. Most of the young people I have met think that we owe them everything. They pay no consequences for they're actions. They don't even understand the concept. We, as a nation, need to stop with the handouts and go back to the handups. If a man does not work, a man does not eat.

Voted and noticed that the "A" and "F" % are the same. Must be the people who live off the system(A) and the people who pay for it all(F)

AMEN! My husband is retired military--not much pay there, and losing benefits all the time--and has to work full-time with a service related disability while congressmen vote their own pay increases. The average worker here (so. Dak.) makes income below the poverty line. The Congress are "public servants" --servants don't make that much, do they?

They hire foreigners because they don't have to pay them as much. Also, no withholding, FICA, etc. They just sign contracts and provide housing. A lot less expensive, a lot ess paperwork. We live in a tourist area and thye bring in tons of them for the "season". Yet the average local here makes less then $15000/year. Pretty sad but the government gives business incentives to hire "out of country"

Think that is a great idea--peaceful protest is always the first, best course of action. Let's see if they listen though. Keep us posted here. My whole family will go or send someone else. Thanks for constructive ideas--let's not become overly emotional at this point. I think too many people are running scared and want a revolution. That may come in time but we need to put our "big boy" pants on and try an adult approach first. Also, I think people need to start "hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst". Something, we as retired military, have learned to live by. This is still a great country made up of "a lot of great We the Peoples". We can, and I have the faith, that we will re-take this country. Thanks again for a great idea. Now let's all work together to get it done.

I know many people who would back you up on this. We are a family of retired Army and have always been proud to serve this country, but now all we, and all our predecessors, have fought for seems to be for naught. When my joined and took his oath he swore to protect and defend this country, against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. Our greatest enemy right at this moment is our own government. What would it take to start a movement for the citizens of each state to start recall proceedings on each and every one of the people in Washington?
