There have been many more stories of something just getting caught in the trigger guard and causing the gun to fire. An inherently unsafe firearm, no manual safety to speak of, hence why I refuse to own one. There is a reason more cops have shot themselves or someone else since departments switched from revolvers with a DAO trigger or a good 1911 with safeties to the Glock. People act like Zimmerman following this man was somehow a crime. It wasn't. Stupid? Probably. But not illegal. Martin allegedly made the first criminal move by attacking Zimmerman. And if Zimmerman is to be believed and his story is to be found true, Martin attempted to take Zimmerman's firearm. When you carry, you must assume that anybody other than the police attempting to disarm you is attempting to use that firearm against you and act accordingly. The problem is, will all the pieces fit together in a trial or will Zimmerman's story fall apart? We will have to wait and see. If you want to buy the overpriced Apple phone, go right ahead. But don't kid yourself; you are paying more for the logo on the phone and little else. It may be a great deal on the data plans, sure, but you are still getting the shaft by buying an iPhone. Virgin Mobile apparently had a lot of issues in the past with call quality, text messages not working, etc but I have had no problems in the 6 months I've had it. Voice calls are clear and data is fast enough at 3G speeds. I would encourage anybody who is paying too much on a contract carrier to consider switching. It runs on Sprint's networks so coverage is decent.
