That camera has some scratches on the lens and the wax always stick to em, giving the water something to hang on to. As far as quitting my day job, I LOVE my day job and would NEVER leave on my own will, besides there are not enough peanuts in that game to support my mortgage and family on. I gave up on that a long time ago. It is hard enough to support yourself shooting and editing video, let alone expand from there. It is an amazing angle and I will continue to try and progress the vision...

Those guys were not 'burning me' I was telling them to go. IT was amazing to be in that visual position and document it. In fact I blocked the lane on a right for Michelle on one of his three waves. Now granted it is Lowers, but most of those pros are very respectful of where ever they are surfing. They get PLENTY of waves no matter where they are at and it really does them no good to snake some local surfer at their local spot. Not that there aren't exceptions to those rules in both people and location, but in general the pros know that the average joe is the guy paying his utility bill.

it washed off the dirt and wax that was stuck in a scratch on the lens. That seemed to be what was holding the water in place.

that was first days footage. Go tit figured out on day two. Cleaned the lens with really hot water to get the dirt off that the water was sticking to.
