I used PTech in my old company. We'd bolted for technical reasons about 6 months before the '05 FBI raid. The stink in '05 arose cause the government (Pentagon included) was modeling all their business practices using PTech. Ummm.... What's amazing given the Saudi ties is this case wasn't brushed completely under the rug.

Steve, I agree, but have a broader view of this project. Treat the 912project as a set of mission statements. The next step is to set specific GOALS to meet that mission. Those goals can target next month, next year, 50 years out. For goals ahead of 2010, we must work with what we're given. 2010 election outcome should be one of the goals. It'll take much longer than that to restore this country's direction. Our opponents (radical Islam) are likely pleased America is distracted by the current swing toward liberalism and socialism. And while straightening THAT out is important, let's not loose our perspective on the 9/11 enemy with the 100 year plan. My point is there's a lot of discussion we could classify as "awareness" or "venting" that doesn't move the project forward. The gorup needs a reminder to move ahead from the "forming" and "norming" stages.

Yes, MOST definitely 9/11 hijackers were motivated by religion more than our foreign policy. Islam is a political religion, so it is easy to perceive politics over religion in their actions. This has ben covered extensively elsewhere, but note, the universal jihadi praise before murdering themselves is "God is Greater" not "Death to America" – they act in their "Allah's" name, as they believe they will be rewarded. Also note Islam has followed their supremacist tactics for many more years than America has existed. We're just the latest obstacle to their mission of establishing the worldwide caliphate. I'll leave it stated, that whether you are Christian or not, our laws are founded on Christian morals and a belief in God. That doesn't mean you're not free to choose your faith. Re-read paragraph #2 again, and see how that foundation strikes at the very hearts of Islam. Islam's "religion" IS a legal structure called Sharia. It's documented in the Quran and Hadiths. It demands actions such as 9/11, and if you are not a believer, you are guilty, thus their "religion" espouses there were no "innocent" people killed in the 9/11 attack. If any Muslims were killed in the attack, Islam will say they are the ONLY martyrs of the day. (Robbing the term "martyr" is another discussion for a different forum, perhaps).

The day before 9/12, America was attacked on her own soil by Muslims, motivated by the teachings of their "religion." America is a young country. So why would a "religion" that's a thousand years older than America see America as a threat? One facet of many is the nature of our republic (I almost typed "democracy" but that would be inaccurate), which fosters equality and liberty, based on Christian (Biblical) morals. That's three strikes in the eyes of the umma. Whether you like it or not, this is in part a conflict of religion. Accept our laws are based on Christian morals, or you'll be accepting laws based on Sharia. There's no separating the fact that laws are based on prior religious morals.
