Probably this is a silly question, but here goes. I am about to jailbreak my iPad 1, to 4.3.3. I have done this before so get how to do it, but I want to know how to choose whether to use RedSn0w or Pwnage Tool? I think I have used both in the past on various devices and am not certain of the difference. thanks experts! ( I have the wi-fi only iPad)

I hope this is not too lazy a question. I have a 3G running 3.1.3 with modem FW 5.12.01, so I know I don't have to jump to 6.15.00 (hurray.). I know folks are split on whether to upgrade to 4.2.1. If I do upgrade, and I choose not to install multitasking and wallpaper, will I be able to use 'backgrounder' and 'winterboard' (for wallpaper) on the new OS? Also, I had tried an older version of 4.xx, found it painfully slow, and downgraded. Will I have that option this time around? Thanks to this excellent community.

I know I'm kind of dumb, but I am confused amid all the snark and real info. If I update my iPad (wifi only), is JB gone forever, or would I just have to wait (patiently, of course)? I am looking forward to the unified mailbox.

I 'm not certain, but I thought MMS only worked when you had a cell signal (it is a function of the "phone" part of your phone), and could not work over wifi. I am curious if anyone knows more . . .

I seem to remember reading something about this, but am again asking anyway. When I open Cydia I no longer see that my shshs are saved. They were saved for sure. Are they still saved and Cydia has changed? Thanks for answers.

yes! this problem comes and goes for me. 2 days ago I could see comments, today no. 2 days before that I couldn't. I asked about here some time ago, and got some advice regarding atomic browser, but by then the problem was (temporarily) resolved.

No. It really doesn't work (on my phone). I definitely know how to click on stuff. And even if I follow a link to comments from an email, I still get "notes."
