KOMO - Seattle, WA : Marysville grandson, grandmother died in homicide, suicide | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weathe

It could have been that he tried to attack her and she got scared and shot him. I don't know if I could live with myself if I would have to take the life of a family member, even if it WAS to save my own life. If he was supposed to be on medication and either wasn't taking it right, taking it at all, or drinking alcohol, it could have made him totally out of control. My condolences go out to her husband. How horrible to come home to find that.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : 6-month-old boy killed in crash caused by cooler in roadway | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weath

The person that lost the cooler AND the person that rear-ended the family should BOTH be charged. This is why tailgating is illegal. The story states that they slowed down, not they they swereved into another lane or slammed on their brakes. You are ASSUMING that the driver cut the truck driver off.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Deputy shoots knife-wielding man in Monroe | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather, Sports, Break

I just found out about this in the Monroe Monitor and it happened right down the street from our house. It said he was drunk. Didn't say anything about drug. I know a lot of people that are violent while drinking. I hope he gets help for his problems. Too bad it took something like this to get him help.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Insurance coverage challenges cancer patients\' hope for children | Health | Seattle News, Weather,

As much as most people would love to have a child of their own, sometimes it just doen't work out that way. Like others have said, they should have covered the test, but no, insurance should not be required to pay for retrieving the egg and for future fertilization and implantation, which can take several attempts. the cost of healthcare is already out of hand.

Do you know the complete family history of your adopted child? There are never any guarantees, even with adoption. Many times the bio-mom doesn't know the dad's medical history.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : South Kitsap teen seriously injured in Friday car crash | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather,

This is why I will never buy a car for my son. Just like my brother, sisters and I we all had to by our own and our insurance. Kids that have to pay for their own cars are more responsible. That doesn't mean that I won't/can't take his keys if he isn't following the rules of the road. Maybe it's just time to raise the driving age to 18 since there are so many wrecks like this. The teen injury/death rate will drop dramatically. Kids just think they are invincible.

What's going on in the home to make an 11 year-old run away? Have they searched her computer records? If my son did something like this he would never be allowed on the internet unless I was right there to see what he was doing. They have to earn trust back after doing something like this. If there is some kind of abuse to make her leave that needs to be investigated and not just blindly believe the parents.

Even if the child did have a lifejacket on he most likely would not have survived the cold water, so life jacket or not, it's a moot point. If the canoe tipped the dad could have hit his head and may not have been able to get to the little boy inb time. Incredibly sad for the mom.

If you would have CORRECTLY read my post you would have UNDERSTOOD what I was saying. Read my other post on here before blasting me. I SAID if they want MANDATORY insurance they should not be charging $433 a month for people that are out of work. How you do expect people to pay that much when they are out of work? That's for basic insurance through the state. I SAID that they should charge $50 for each person for insurance if they want it mandatory that each person has coverage! OMG I am so sick of idiots only reading what they want an blasting people without understanding what they are reading!

Except someone (Taxpayers) have to pay for people that can't afford insurance and can't afford a huge hospital bill when they get sick or get hurt. I think $50 a month for everyone if they want mandatory insurance is what's needed, not $433 when both parents are out of work.

Ask any Canadian about free healthcare. It is horrendous. People die in the ER waiting to get seen, months waiting for CT scans or an MRI. Low cost healthcare is what we need, not free.
