Hmm would this work with my friend's ATT SIM card that he currently uses? If I borrowed it so to speak?

Yup. I'm getting bars and the edge symbol. I can make outgoing calls, check email, etc etc. I'm just getting that recorded voice message prompt everytime I dial my own # or tap voicemail in the phone app.

T-Mobile USA users: Can any of you receive calls or check voicemail? I dont consider myself a newb. I jailbroke using Pwnage Tool and the phone has been very stable. Ultrasn0w worked perfectly. Voicemail worked initially after the unlock but now when I dial voicemail I get a "The number you have dialed is not in service" error. I'm not entirely sure if I can receive calls or not since it's pretty late here and cant get anyone to call me right now. I dont think this is an ultrasn0w issue though. Probably an overnight T Mob USA maintenance thing going on?

That's actually fine. It's just picking up the EDGE signal but not using it.
