The solution to the border problem, and we really need a solution in my opinion, is more complex than physically stopping people from crossing the border. Now that Presidente Calderon seems willing to put his house in order at great personal risk to himself, we should do whatever is necessary to help him. NAFTA could have helped this situation but it was never implemented correctly. Most Mexicans love their country and would prefer to stay there if they could.
