MSU and PSU are playing for a trophy right now, so I'd think the conference would want to keep it going. Maybe not - it's not much of a tradition, but it's about as big a tradition as PSU has when it comes to the Big Ten - except for the annual Iowa beating.

Well, Minn will get Wisky as the crossover game. I'd suspect PSU would get MSU as a crossover game, IL would get NW, so we get Indiana or PU? Kind of weak. Not the best alignment as far as playing Wisconsin every year goes.

I'm getting this sinking feeling the Hawkeyes are going to get screwed. Not being in a Division with MN and the Nebby is about as bad an outcome that you could get. Why can't I ask a question about what our AD is doing to prevent this worst outcome?

Have to think they are going to announce this before the start of the season - like next week. Hope IA, WI, and MN stay together! I want to play those 2 teams every year along with the Bug Eaters.

Amen! I'd really want to play the Badgers and the Goofers every year. If there are three teams that should not be split up it's Iowa, MN, and WI. MSU has probably been the team has played some very close games against the Hawks every year. So placing them in the same division is good. Nebraska is the new enemy.

ND pulls in all TV markets in the country. Big 10 could go back to a Pitt or Missouri - teams that make more sense if ND comes on board.

If MI and OSU is a 2 team combination that can't be broken up, then there also is a 3 team combination that can't be broken up. Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. They all should be in the same division.

Mike - you've gotta watch at PU game when it comes on the Big Ten Network's Greatest Games. I can't recall a game where the Hawks had that many big time scoring plays.
