great question!

no, the M215 does not have integrated ground, if you look closely at the picture of the M215 above you'll notice a grounding lug. With the Enphase M215 you will still need to run a continuous external ground. from inverter to inverter.

Hi Chris,

thanks for the excellent question. Enphase offers the M190 and M215 in a 208VAC single phase. A single phase 208 circuit will use two hot legs, and a three phase circuit needs all three hot legs. You can use a two pole breaker, which can connect to any two of the three legs in a three phase service panel. At this time Enphase does not offer a true three phase solution in which there are 3 wires plus the ground.

I believe they are more efficient, compare a 230W module with a 250W module and you'll notice the size of the modules are the same but the power output has increased, more watts per square foot equals increased efficiencies.
