This guy is very dangerous, he is showing classic signs that serial killers usually do at young ages. Killing and torturing small animals(practice really), admiration of killers, impulsive nature, fantasies of killing people, and an ability to plan them out, if admittedly in a limited fashion. Thankfully that is the one part movies embelish, there is a cunning to socipaths and serial killers, but they generally aren't that bright.

I don't know what they can do with him now legally, but it is good that he is at least in the system.

Punishment fits the crime, they murdered someone in cold blood over a ring being sold on craigslist. I hope they don't expect parole on good behavoir, they tossed away their rights and freedom when planning and carrying this out.

The buzz is surrounding the Japanese paradox. They smoke a lot of cigarettes but don't have as many incidents of cancer as we do. It is believed this is due to their consumption of green tea, around five cups a day. They have found that there are some beneficial compounds, but they don't know for certain how it works or how effective it really is. Chances are it is good for you, probably better than coffee, and definitely safe unless you have issues with caffeine. But like anything health related, wait until the results are in.

Cruelty to animals, never a good sign. Depending on the age of the offender it could be a sign of homicidal behavoir.

Good, don't want to let the gang problem get out of hand. We keep thinking that because we don't have problems with crime like other parts of country that we can't. Either I haven't noticed as much because I was driving or it has just gotten worse.

He's not getting away easy on this. They can argue how much he knew, but he knew. That alone is enough for a lengthy prison sentence, maybe life.

I am divided on this. I went through hell at my high school/junior high. It was pretty white trash and a small town to boot. They were looking for someone be mean to and I fit the bill. Strange, shy, no family or close friends to back me up. When I tried to fight back it just got worse, I wasn't big enough, and I found that rednecks don't fight fair anyway. So I just went through hell for two years until I transferred. Sad thing is I am pretty sure others got it worse, but I was more concerned about my own hide.

Partially I don't want anyone to have to go through what I had to go through. Saying kids can be cruel is an understatement, kids can be downright psychotic. At the same time I am against being overly coddly to kids. I don't think that it does them any benefit in the long run, so it is a tough call.

Bravo. Though they technically use that technique for the Mafia and other such organizations, thats basically what gangs are. They're not very organized, but the whole point of the gang is to get together and commit crimes while backing each other up.

Now they need to do a little work on downtown Seattle. We don't have the crime rate of other cities this size, but that can always change, especially during economic strife.

When someone viedotapes something like that its a pretty big sign the person is going to do it again. The whole reason someone would videotape that is the same reason you would videotape someone graduation or marriage, you want to live it again. He is looking to relive the rush of controling and abusing someone in that fashion. The only other reason would be for evidence and in this situation, unlikely.

In short, he's really dangerous and highly likely to do this again unless he is caught. Listen to the police, don't approach him.

The problem is that Shrinks are people too. They can be just a fallible and corrupt as anyone else. They aren't supposed to be in this profession, but they are just the same.

I've gone to counselors that assisted me a great deal, and I have seen ones that have sent me packing more damaged than before due to their ego's or insecurities. One acting in a childish and conscending manner because I missed an appointment and wasted her valuable time.
