http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/ : 30,000 expected to attend Ulster Covenant march in Belfast - News, Entertainment - Belfasttelegraph.

It dropped because the Catholic Chuch had too much control over the country, no one will deny that and it was wrong on every level, the majority of people in the ROI will completely agree with that and that change needs to happen, which it is, slowly but surely... You cannot look at life in 2012 with 1912 spectacles and understanding...how much has happened since then, what has changed in the world...women didn't even have the vote back then, life changes, attitudes change, empires & union rise and fall, its life. I am from 'South of the border' & the different sides of my family would have been shooting each other during the civil war, fact. I know for a fact my Catholic family in 1912 were British Unionists and I know other people who are Protestants and Republican to the core.....dont define people by religion, what about the Muslims, Hindus, Jews, people of all religion and none, where is their voice today??

Most of the Hurling stronghold counties in Ireland would have been big into Cricket originally, Kilkenny being one of these & famous Wexford Hurler Nickey Rackard would have started out playing Cricket...so it would be great to see a revival of this & Ireland achieving its ambition of Test Status of 2020!

I get the impression also that a lot of these rioters would do it again if they had half the chance if those 4 'hoodies' interviewed by sky news are anything to go by..scary thing is that they are still children, 16/17 years old - one 16 year old was out robbing stuff for his kid, another looted Currys cos they never replied to his job application & they thought it was their right due to the impending government cut backs. What are they going to be like by the time they hit 30 if something is not done to tackle the issue at grassroots level.
