<title>KY3 :

Text of President Obama\&#039;s speech to school children |
				KY3 News, Weather, Sports -</title>

<description>On your report tonight, you cited 3 satirical &amp;amp; funny comments from Obama supporters. Then talked with the young man who was concerned about Pres. Obama&amp;#039;s possible comments to the students but after reading it, felt more comfortable with President&amp;#039;s words. The problem is that you didn&amp;#039;t critically analyze the issue. Had you been intellectually honest, you would have noted that as the controversy grew, the White House actually changed the suggested &amp;quot;lesson plans&amp;quot; provided to the teachers. The second issue was that the speech wasn&amp;#039;t released until today, Monday, so how do we know that the speech wasn&amp;#039;t changed due to the controversy. This may not have been the original speech at all; maybe nothing was changed; maybe portions were changed. How do we know? Not questioning this makes it appear that this was the original speech and those people who were concerned had no reason to be concerned at all. That is intellectual dishonesty. <title>Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : North Korea Starts Gassing-Up Their Rocket...</title>
<link>http://theglennbeck912project.com/2009/04/01/north-korea-starts-gassing-up-their-rocket/#IDComment18045137</link>
<description>Aspade &amp;amp; Old Marine, you&amp;#039;re correct. North Korea is threatening to launch a so-called &amp;quot;communications satelite&amp;quot;. The frightening truth is a rocket that can carry a satelite into orbit also can drop a nuclear warhead over any location in less than 45 min. In this case, retaliatory power means nothing. One small nuclear weapon, delivered by an ICBM can destroy the U.S. by maximizing the effect of the electromagnetic pulse [EMP] upon detonation; An EMP is a byproduct of detonating an atomic bomb ; the gamma rays emitted trigger a massive electrical disturbance moving at the speed of light which would short out ALL electrical power grids. It might take years to recover and the U.S. would be a 3rd world country. SOURCE: Report of the Commission to Assess the Threat to the U.S. from Electromagnetic Pulse Attack from April 2008. My opinion is we should not allow N. K. to launch anything; the U.S. can&amp;#039;t &amp;quot;retaliate&amp;quot; once this scenario happens. </description>
