Boehner, get off the comments board. Or leave your whining to the GOP union halls. This is the best news America has seen since 2006.

As a California business owner, I can say I am in the middle of this. And it is not pretty.

We incorporated in the state around 2004. From 2004 through 2008, the company was mostly research and development for a B2C service online. During that time, the company made a total revenue of $3. That is right... $3. Because the company was a year away from market, the $3 sale was only part of a beta test. Albeit it is a $3 revenue, the state of CA came after us. Every year, the small company reported losses of about $25-50k year due to development. By 2008, the company spent about $150k and only made a $3 commission on a sale made from the site.

From 2004 - 2006, the company paid the mandatory $800 fee to the state, the base minimum a year to run any corp. business in the state. In 2006, our company stopped paying that $800 and filed for a dissolution due to the falling economy and unsustainable tax/fee structures in the state. To this date, we are still unable to dissolve.

So as of 2011, 5 years after our company filed, we are still undissolved and our tax bill keeps going up and up and up. The state has since filed a lien on the company, which has no assets. The state continues to charge this company fees/taxes, spending tens of thousands of dollars to chase after a $3000+ tax bill (all of which are fees/penalties based on no revenue or profit). So we were out of business in 2006-7, however the state refuses to dissolve the company and it still is asking the company to pay the $800/year. In fact, we have been billed $800 every year since our dissolution was filed in 2006. Keep in mind, since the inception of the company, it collected a total of $3. That is 3 x $1 dollar bills. Today, the company is still a CA corporation and we're opening up a new sister company in Texas. Our attorney has advised us to move the company to a state like Texas, and tell CA to pound sand. I cannot understand why anyone would want to start a business in CA after my experience. Seeing where the priorities are in CA, I can't imagine why anyone would move to CA unless they did it in droves for the sole reason to take that state back from the progressive nut cases. You don't have to research too hard to see where the problems are. We do not plan on donating any more money to the CA siphon, and we will happily share any future business with the state of Texas or other non-democratic states.

Sorry CaliMexico. You not only lost another American citizen, but you lost another business. Keep it up, moonbeam.

The second these people were denied law enforcement, they became victims. The 911 operators and the city law enforcement are clearly in the wrong here, and they should not only be fired from their jobs, these 911 operators should face criminal charges for "Obstruction of Justice".

This is a lawless society, so citizens need to start handling law enforcement themselves.

Spot on. However, as a conservative in Hollywood I can add that some Republicans are not much different than Libs. If you work in Hollywood and you are conservative but not a Republican, you are ostracized by them. They brag about their secret meetings in speakeasies to you. It's sick. In Hollywood, if you are not in the political crowds, you just don't belong. It doesn't matter what side you are on. Some of the worst people I know in Hollywood are Republicans, and I am a staunch conservative. And some of these folks are not conservatives. Many are former liberal democrats following the pack, and looking for ways to make connections. Libs are libs, but don't let some of these Rino Hollywood Republicans fool you. They are just as elitist and useless as the libs are.

Everyone reading BigHollywood should take a step back and look what has happened to Hollywood and the creative industries. There is absolutely nothing new or creative coming from films, music, or print. It is all the same, and most subject matter is timely not timeless. Every TV show and movie seems to look the same as the other, and all of them are celebrity-based. The term celebrity has replaced the term movie mogul, and now we are living in Charlie's Sheen's world. Not our own. CBS wants you to watch Charlie, because he is a spectacle. They can care less about his well being, otherwise they would not make such comments a news release. This new industry is obviously a direct result of the merging conglomerates and its Socialistic control it has on the industry. When Fox spends $15m on J-lo without any new or original shows in the pipeline, the industry starts to look like Cuba or the Soviet Union. Can anyone point to great shows, music or artists (non-propaganda) that has come from Communist or Socialist societies in the past 100 years? Not many, if any at all. So look at what we are becoming, where Obama's parties holds the nation's attention on every breath.

Sooner or later, the audiences will have to abandon Hollywood for it to be saved. But at the present time, the people are buying crappy shows like hot cakes. Now it is one thing to complain about Obama with the TV off. But it is a whole different thing when you complain about Obama, and then settle in on the couch to watch his TV networks all night long. Turn it off. Stop watching the news and sports. Stop buying their crap. Until that happens, we will continue to live in this society which now looks much like that movie, "Idiocracy".

I'm not a hater, and I am not silly neither. What has drudge written that would be considered a journalistic piece? Seriously? Are you folks that obtuse that you think Drudge is a Journalist? Drudge had a radio show, but that is history. Drudge now makes @$250K-500K a year advertising on his link site. So why would he waste time reporting or writing commentary, and why would people consider him a journalist? And why is Ed Murrow the be-all-end-all of truth and news? Is it because that name is easy to recall or because he was popular in his time? Ed Murrow is a pop culture icon. Nothing more, nothing less. Save the pretentious journo-crap for Shep @ Fox News and MSNBC. There is no integrity anymore, anywhere to be found. Just ask Doc Brown (RINO from MA sitting in Ed Kennedy's chair) about integrity. Two minutes into office, and he was bargaining for court time with Dr. O and trying to pimp his daughters on national TV. And you all bought it.

And honestly, hanging on the NYT and their socialism is no different than buying their newspaper everyday. There's thousands of news blogs out there that say and write more ludicrous things... So why are we giving the NYT any energy, if it is that energy that keeps it going? Do you realize this has become the story of the new Year (because of your patronage)?!?!?!? The stronger you disagree and the more you cater to them, the stronger they become. Maybe the NYT wrote the Leibowitz pill just get more clicks and chicks... Has anyone ever thought about that? Does anyone ever think for themselves anymore? This story about Leibowitz is working like a charm. I say, stop linking the NYT if they are such a joke. Stop talking about it if it is so untrue. Ever hear the expression, 'out of sight and out of mind'? The Libs use that card all the time, so why not play the same way? The moment someone loses press and publicity, the libs start attacking them as wash-ups.

Great for Drudge. He funnels news wires to one page. In that sense, he is no different than the drudgeretort people. He is not a journalist. He is a businessman and a patriot. Stewart (or Mr. Liebowitz-- his real name) is a low-brow, self-hating Jewish man, and an admitted socialist. And do you all realize that most of Leibowitz's audience doesn't know the definition of Socialism? So it seems it is Mr. Liebowitz's political opinions which rule you. Make no mistake about it,... Obama is just a prop. He's a colored beacon for racial & class warfare (AKA Socialism). I used to see Liebowitz eating chili at Veselca's in NYC frequently... And today I see him no differently than he was then. Just another NYC Socialist looking for a job. And that fits hand-into-hand with Hollywood as a whole. Movies, TV, News, Magazines, Literature is now operating under one roof. It's called "Media" now. 'Hollywood' is a socialist state and it has been that way for years. But I don't see any of you walking away from Jack Black (HUGE SOCIALIST) and Yogi Bear movies. You keep on flocking to them, and then spend your spare time here complaining about where your money goes. I'm just expressing what I am seeing, folks... Trying to wake some of you up.

America needs 2 things to pull itself out of this sharp descent; 1. A large mirror to see itself in 2. A non-statist government. Unfortunately, neither of those are physically possible.

No one should look away from this. What people do not realize is that anything can happen now. ANYTHING. The US now has a President who attacks the American people more than any dictatorship. Anyone who thinks Obama will protect their freedom and liberties are mindless and out of touch.

If anything escalates, Obama will be ready to squash the American public. The US has no idea what's coming to them. Some do. Some see who Obama is clear as day. Others are just too blind to the reality. Keep up that complacency and Obama's newly created dictatorship will soon be far more serious than North Korea.

Does anyone trust Obama and Pelosi during a time of war? This is as scary as it gets folks!

14 years ago @ Big Government - ACORN Document Dump: T... · 0 replies · +1 points

If you recall, Congress stopped funding to ACORN after evidence they were fraudulent. Undeniable evidence. During this Thanksgiving break, Holder comes out and takes away that congressional power to stop funding.

Holder is supposed to track crime. Not impose policy. He also has no right to undermine the Congress. Only the Executive branch and the Supreme court have the power to turn over congressional policy. No, congress did not pass any laws yesterday. It was done months ago. If you would just pay attention, I wouldn't have to spell out what I meant.

And as for the less than 50% figure, I was referring to the latest Rasmussen Poll on Obama's approval ratings. He's down in the 40's percentile. In other words, a little less than half the country agrees or approves of Obama's job. Assuming you would have to be insane to approve of Obama, I'm making a claim they all believe Obama is "the best President ever". You made points about non-voters, and I'm not following your logic. What do non-voters have to do with estimates of the population done through polls?

Obama had 52% of the popular vote. As far I'm concerned Jacey, that was 2% too many voters-- Not non-voters.

Scots, you wrote:

"Take away all TELEPROMPTERS,Cell Phones, I-pods, microphones,Blackberrys and every other form of communication, so the damned grating, incessant, sound of the Evil One's voice and lies, along with It's supporters is removed from earshot forever. Oh, I almost forgot MOST Federal Judges, who have continually trashed our Constitution."

What's the difference between what you are suggesting and what they are doing? You would have to throw yourself in since you insist on taking away their freedom of speech. Blame Democracy. It corrupts the majority and oppresses the minority. Capitalism only works if it's sustainable and if you noticed lately, it doesn't appear to be going in that direction.

BDDD, you are so on the money here. Problem is, the people in America are so literally stupid that they'll listen to anyone and that's throwing a wrench in the works. For example, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MARK LEVIN AND KEITH OBERMANN. None. They are both the same. It's either democrat or Republican, and no in between. Give me my paycheck.

The system is so corrupt, that once people get into the salaries, they become no different. Mark Levin and Hannity are such frauds, yet sooo many people adore them. I'm conservative, and I can't stand Hannity as much as I can't stand Obama. In fact, I call Mark Levin "Barack Levin" because he complains about Obama, but then uses Obama's same tricks to lure an audience like sheep.

Levin used to yell that he would help anyone that threatens freedom of speech, but on the day his competitor was banned from England for his speech, Levin mocked him and ridiculed him like it was the best thing he ever heard. Mark Levin calls you an idiot if you don't agree with him. The only time Levin is nice to people is when they are kissing up to him or because they're in the military. Buy his book! Better hurry! Buy his book! Buy two of his books!!! If you don't you are stupid and a drone.

And do you all think Hannity is giving anything to charity? He gets on stages with Charlie Daniels and acts like a fat rock star in jeans. All for the troops. All for charity. Now, how much do you think he deducts for those appearances? He makes millions on radio and TV, and these charity events puts thousands of dollars in his pocket at the end of the year in tax deductions.

Don't be fooled by any of these guys. Levin claims the third party will never win... But America never had the f-ing internet before, Barack Levin. Times change, Mr. Levin. The GOP is corrupt, as much as you are Mr. Barack Levin! Times in America have never been so needy of a new Constitutional power that defends the country and the laws. Not the money. And just because someone sounds like an encyclopedia of American politics, doesn't make them smart.

I am afraid to say, the discovery in all of this is that it all might be unfixable. It's becoming a very good possibility.
