Wow. this makes total sense. So when the girl gets dragged to hell, that's clearly a metaphor for how...you know...She was dragged to hell.

/Film : Sam Raimi's Drag Me To Hell - What Did You Think?

Hilariously good horror movie. It was surprisingly scary for a film (I know its a horror film but they never really deliver on scares, just gore.) The ending is a little predictable but I thought it was quite ballsy in retrospect. At the prescreening I went to, I pulled a That's what she said on the audience during the seance scene with the woman (you'll know it when you see it.) Highly recommend it. It also sets up a sequel in a not so obvious way, so hopefully Sam Raimi will be able to deliver another chapter with the Lamia demon.

/Film : /Filmcast Ep. 52 - Terminator Salvation (GUEST: Jeff Cannata from the Totally Rad Show)

exactly. In T-3 arnold technically becomes self aware and self terminates to not fail his mission. Terminator Salvation, has plot holes which will be answered in the director's cut. Including how they knew Kyle Reese was his father and that John is the "prophecized" leader of the resistance. It's explained in a scene that Linda Hamilton's psyche files from prior to T-2, detailing the events of Terminator explain all and that the REsistance Heads and Skynet had access to them.

/Film : The Buzz: Terminator Salvation is Horrible OR a Solid Summer Action Movie

Saw this Tuesday night, thought it was a very good starting point for the new trilogy. Definately better than Terminator 3, but that seems to be the consensus. Everyone has mentioned the choppy intro, something I hope is corrected in the Extended Director's Cut (Let's face it, we all know that this is NOT the version McG wanted to hit us with - cue Topless Moon Bloodgood). While the characterization is mostly focused on Marcus, there's extension for John Connor. He was a kid the last time we saw him (T-3 never happened), and now he's a conflicted adult trying to live up to the burden of the old prophecies in a world that does not match what he was lead to believe. So I'd argue that his characterization has been two movies in the making. Terminator 5 will, hopefully, be better than Salvation. So, all that said, just wait for the director's cut and buy it/ rent it.
