It's certainly creative. Maybe it's because I'm not a big fun of Burger King and similar food chains, but how did they reach an audience? Did they post it in youtube and wait? Do they expect people to go to its website and find it?
I guess that this ban is really beneficial for traditional brands that have been there for ever and makes it impossible for new brands to gain market share. Other than that, things don't change much. Expensive alcohol is a much more effective way to reduce consumption among youngsters.
I don't know how these guys manage to do it, but they are always able to get away without any damage in Google's brand. Just remember when its servers stopped working last month for some time. They just said sorry in the corporate blog and nothing else happened. I guess that they have provided so much value for free that nobody cares if they mess up once or twice.
For me that's one of those cool tools that you have in your computer but you never use. Implementing the same thing on the Internet seems almost science fiction. It'll take some time to design a tool that can find you among the ocean of pictures posted on the Internet.
I like it too!! It's some sort of artistic representation of your career. No use at all but nice anyways.
I must admit I am really surprised by what I am reading. You MBA guys are the masters of networking, right? You should see more potential in weak ties!! I think they won't get you a job, buy your product, recommend your service, ... upfront but there are certainly ways to manage this short of relationship to your advantage.
I've never done it myself but I would be happier to buy something from my 2nd grade classmate than from a complete unknown, above all if he knows how to approach me.
The future is clearly storing on the cloud but I am cautious as well and will take me some time to store everything there. Privacy will always be an issue but I guess people will get used to it. Google also stores your Gmail emails and nobody really cares too much. With the cloud it'll be the same.
As mentioned yesterday in class, your point is a true and unfair for many websites that also create value. I can think of the typical comparison/review sites, that create a lot of value for people who want to research the product before going to the traditional brick and mortar shop. However, given the "last click metric" is the only thing that can be tracked, they don't capture all the value that they create.
