I'm really hoping that some equally delusional attorneys will jump at the opportunity to try to argue the case exactly how Trump wants it done, and subject that bullshit to the full scrutiny of the court. I'll get the popcorn.

...and it's a "lose-lose" for all of them. It makes Trump look worse and provides a ton of evidence against him and his actions, and at the same time results in the 'arguments' from the individual rioters stink like a steaming pile of "I vas only following orduhs!". I don't think it's going to pay off well for any of them. Good.

What possible rationale could the state or the AG use for building an argument in favor of treating married same sex couples any differently than married opposite sex couples that would pass any test for constitutional compliance? Ain't gonna happen. Even with a more conservative SC, that ship has sailed.
