But the KDS alone cannot resolve that specific point. If pay is the issue, or not (I get confused depending on which KEA is speaking), then you need to focus your energies more on KSD, AND alleged Gov Gregiore . The boards hands are sort to tied in what they need to pay a Superintendent. The state allocates each discrict around $61,000K for salary. They fill the gaps with bonus's, incentives, allowances, etc. This no way in the world a district can attract a Superindent of any competence or experience with that low of a salary. That gap needs to be shrunk. By how much? No one can answer. The money to spend on execs is from a different allocation. They are contractually mandated by law to pay certain postitions certain base salaries, with benenfits.
