I have pondered this problem myself. What to do to counter this further effort to distort the truth? The only answer I have so far is we must start carrying the battle to these dishonest information brokers. NOT with namecalling. We must create short, clever, funny absolutely point-on short videos that nail their biases so neatly that they cannot escape them......This applies to both MSM, news anchors, Media Matters, etc...Alinsky had a point. Ridicule Does work.....and it will work against these organizations as well. (The funniest jokes of Leno, Conan, etc get highlighted because they have a strong kernel of truth wrapped in the joke......)

Excellent post....thank you John. I always enjoy reading your articles. Three points: 1. Agreed.....GOP candidates must be smarter in deciding 5 W's of each interview....and that some are not worthy of their time. 2. GOP candidates do serious debate preparation work.....are they doing serious prep work for the interviewers? Are they preparing not just for all the legitimate 'issue' questions but for the slanted questions....and HOW to properly nail the questioner to the wall when it happens? 3. For this 2012 cycle, it seems a grassroots effort must be begin, to take the fight to the MSM. Billboards questioning their bias; Full page ads questioning their objectivity; Radio spots, with names, about their contributions to campaigns. Websites with excellent compare & contrast, side-by-side videos, of their "work product". If done in a well-researched and humorous manner, tied in cleverly with social media tools.....what could happen?

Promote the movie....this weekend.....it's simple, cost very little, and might be fun. I call it "child's play" really. Ask your kids/teens to take their sidewalk chalk ($1.99 for twenty pieces at Walmart) and write in huge letters, on public sidewalk, ATLAS SHRUGGED. That's it. If you want to maximize production (and profit for them)....write a simple contract with them and ask for multiple copies around the neighborhood on PUBLIC property...(please have them be very careful, safety, age appropriate, etc.)....and pay them a buck or two per copy they create.....The vision is tens of thousands of copies of ATLAS SHRUGGED or WHO IS JOHN GALT? written in many, many neighborhoods across the country this weekend.

This rings a bell.....in a bad way. I was reading an article a month ago about some California elementary school turning itself around by parents finally invoking a provision of state law which allowed them to put their school under a charter....cool, right. Then I read the founder's biographies of the charter school program they had selected....completely tied in with UN programs, etc. This is insidious. If you can't beat them, co-opt the name and let them foolishly come to you, thinking they have made a change for the better. (Can't remember the name of program or school).

So let me get this straight....if a group of people organized and stormed into a SEIU office and said they were tired of the silly tactics and angry rhetoric coming from SEIU, the staff of the office would......offer them cookies? Would want to sit down with them and listen to all of their concerns and reasons for taking the action? Last year Art Robinson ran for Congress in Oregon's 4th District against 12-term incumbent, far-left Democrat Peter DeFazio, co-founder of the House Progressive Caucus. Department heads at Oregon State University have now targeted his college children: I am appalled at this apparent direct attack on the progeny of a former candidate for public office.... ....the GPA's of the students suggest they are excellent at their studies.
