TechCrunch : Yahoo Finds A New Lover In Match.com, Dumps Personals

Dating is too complicated and messy for FB to wrap their heads around right now. Although Thread, which was part of the fbFund last summer, seems to have vacated FB and moved to their own url. As Ross correctly states, there are much bigger fish out there, although I disagree about POF being scared. POF's one site makes more money than WLD's 4,000 sites and while many sites are getting hammered in terms of traffic it appears that POF revenue is up as they continue to figure out how to monetize the free dating space with things like Freemium offers and the fact that the site is basically one giant ad for competing dating sites. Success for dating sites means traffic and revenue whereas success for singles means getting the heck off of dating sites. Not until this tension is worked out suitably for both parties will the 70% of the singles marked that doesn't use online dating sites finally start to dip their toes into the dating pool.

eHarmony Blog : IntenseDebate and why we don't like it

Someone on my blog was able to log in and post comments as me at MyBlogLog, not sure if it had to do with ID but still. All these comments companies, really not thinking things through. Great job calling them out about javascript and Yslow. Most if these issues are programming 101 issues, always makes me cringe when I see these basic problems out in the wild.

I tried ID over the weekend, it didn't work so well, so I tried Disqus, which I have on another of my blogs. That wasn't importing well so I went back to plain old WP comments with a few supporting plugins. Sometimes simple is good.

Test. Just noticed that ever since Google implemented Feedburner feed tracking that my listener numbers decreased by half, bummer.
