West Ham Till I Die : Result: Players Performances v Birmingham

I'm also surprised at Grant's score. This morning, I watched his interview on the bbc website. He said words to this effect: the players were playing so well that at half time "I didn't know what to say to them". He actually said "I didn't know what to say to them". My God. I hope that was lost in translation because it seems pretty f****** obvious what to say. Motivate them to keep it up. To keep putting pressure on Brum, to keep posession as much as possible, to not frustrate them, to understand that we can absorb a goal but may need to score again.

Piq.. seriously.. first Obinna, now this. The last thing we need is fit players getting ridiculous red cards. Just unbelievable.

I really wanted to see CC play well today but he has to come off for Piquionne. Cole just cannot keep the ball and his first touch has been terrible. Now he's got himself a yellow card as well.

West Ham Till I Die : My Country, right or wrong?

I can understand why Noble's head could be turned by ROI if they offer him the prospect of international football. Let's face it, he won't be playing any high profile matches with West Ham any time soon. This would give him the opportunity to play high profile games without compromising his loyalty to WHU. Also the current England set-up is a joke, and after seeing what happened to Green after one mistake, he might not fancy being a clown for that particular circus.

West Ham Till I Die : Oh I Wish It Could Be Yom Kippur Every Day....

A huge part of your family? Why did you show it to so much of your family if you found it that offensive? You are the only person that has called the original post "racist". Nobody else used that word until you upped the ante. If you are so easily offended, and the offense you receive is such a massive blow (you said it was "vile", "disgusting to say the least" and "upsetting") then I suggest you stay off the internet. Ben, you have a right to your opinion but you seem unable to understand that this was not written to offend you but was rather a clumsy attempt at light-hearted humour. I can't work out if you're just very young, if you're a fundamentalist, if you're mildly autistic or just a troll.

Judaism is a religion. The Jewish people are an ethnic group. The two are so close it's often difficult to distinguish between the two. It's not helpful to generalise. Only one commenter used the word "racist", and you seize this and suggest "people today [are] looking for evidence of racism where there is none". You could have just said you didn't believe it was offensive and left it at that. I'm not a member of the 'ban this sick filth!' brigade and I don't think this post is racist or "vile". Almost any joke is offensive to someone out there and there's nothing anyone can do about that. However, this came over as ignorant, not true and not funny.

I'm also not Jewish but I also think it's cheap to keep taking the p out of Avram for observing his religion. It's also lazy to compare Yom Kippur to Christmas, and a shame you didn't bother to take 5 seconds to look YK up on wikipedia or you might have realised what a poor comparison it is. Yom Kippur is the Jewish day of atonement. So compare it to confession or communion (both are about repentment) or Good Friday (which also has a very sombre mood), but not Christmas. I don't know, maybe it wouldn't have annoyed me if it hadn't been such a pointless dig. We draw on Saturday without AG and won on Tuesday with him so your joke doesn't even work. If you're going to be rude about someone's religion, at least make it funny, and failing that, at least make it factually correct.

Hi Iain, I have nothing to say that hasn't already been said, but I just wanted to add my voice to those supporting the blog. It's the best west ham opinion out there and I'm sure there are many 'silent' readers like myself who love the blog and read all the posts even if we don't have time to actively participate in the comments.
West Ham Till I Die : Looking Cheap

Hmm, a lot has been said already so I will simply add this. When we were being pursued in the courts, I made the following arguments: 1. Football is played on the pitch, not in the courts; 2. SUFC were relegated because they were not good enough and did not score enough points. If I now agreed with our action I would be a hypocrite. If we get relegated it's because we were not good enough; because we did not get enough points to keep us up. Fulham's actions cannot single-handedly lead to our relegation - at most they are a very minor factor amongst many others, some within our control (crap performances) and some not (injuries, weakened sides). If we do go down, the main factors will be things like not being able to beat poor Wolves and average Stoke teams at home.

West Ham Till I Die : West Ham v Man U: Match Preview

Starting Nouble against Manchester Red would be madness (or genius?). I don't think Zola will rush him into the first team like that, but we will probably see him used as a sub at some point while Cole is in the treatment room. I expect to see Hines start up with Franco to play off their back four. I hope you're right about Noble over Kovac. In Dyer and Diamanti we have two attractive attacking options that can offer us something a bit unpredictable, which we may well need to break down United's defense. I think it will be difficult to score in open play but can easily imagine a penalty against Vidic on Hines - Vidic is such a dirty defender and refs are getting wise to this. Having said that I don't feel good about this game and I think we will get beat 0-2.

well, we got lucky with set-pieces against the arse, I suppose we can't moan too much about this one but according to BBC London we should have got a penalty just before the goal, and the goal came from a free kick that was not a foul by Kovac, let alone a yellow card.
