Tea Party Tribune - Tea Party & Political News : Birther Stuff and possible consequences

"Birther" is a term invented by leftists for the purpose of personal attacks on anyone who gets any traction with public questions on that topic. It lumps all questions into a single category ("they think he wasn't born in Hawaii!!") and moves past the subject without any of the other questions about missing info being brought up. No grades, no school records, no papers, no inquiry on multiple social security numbers, no discussion of whether he became an Indonesian when he was adopted by Soetero, and if so, when he regained his American citizenship, whether he went to Columbia or Harvard on foreign student aid as an Indonesian, what passport he traveled to Pakistan with, etc etc etc. SO MANY QUESTIONS, all dismissed by the accusation of "birther" on the questioner. I cannot recall in my lifetime a more effective Alinskyite propaganda term for personal attack, but of course anything would have worked with the prostrate, boot-licking help of the mainstream media. If I ask about his grades, am I a "grader"? If I ask about his school papers, am I a "paperer"? THIS IS RIDICULOUS, both that it worked and that nobody on the right is bothering to COMPLAIN about it. A made up term, completely winning the day before any of the questions are even publicly asked. Forget a civil war, the country is lost already. No regard for the truth. Illusions win.

Heard a great radio interview with Laura Ingraham, having Martin and Emilio on together to talk about this film.. a surprising amount of traditionalism and spirituality from that father/son team, nice to hear, and Laura was superb with them... made me decide to see the pic, and this reinforces my intention.. :-)

Big Government : Romney: A Campaign that Only Millions of Dollars Could Buy

And losing in Pennsylvania by 20 points in the same election that gave Democrats control of both houses amidst an anti-Bush fervor... well, that doesn't exactly militate against Santorum alone. Lots of good conservatives lost elections in 06 and 08. The battlefield was thoroughly prepped by liberals trashing Bush, and the boy genius Rove never fought back against it. ROVE is why santorum lost by 20 points in his last election. And even so, his Democrat opponent had to sell himself as pro life and so forth. Santorum got flanked.

Mr. Flynn-- Santorum exacted a promise from Specter to move the nominations of SC judges out of committee. We have Roberts AND Alito because Santorum held Specter to his promise. At the time, Toomey was NOT guaranteed to win that primary by any stretch, and if he had, he would have been new and had no chairmanship muscle.. Santorum's support of Specter gave us Roberts and Alito, probably the best contribution to the future of this country that's been made by any Senate republican in the last forty years. Come on, Mike. You know better than just to say "Santorum supported Specter, ick." You KNOW better.

Big Peace : UN General Assembly Condemns Syria

There are two parties in this thing, Iran-led Shia and Saudi-led Arab Sunni. The others are smaller. Shia and Sunni are destined to mix it up. The Arab league is going after Syria in order to have some sort of check on Iran. You can tell how serious this is for the Arabs by their failure to include any anti-Israel provisions in this paper. :-)

I hope the super PACS are smarter than the candidates. THey'd better not be running on "I can do a better job with the economy". the left can easily jimmy the numbers and make it look better right before the election.
Big Government : Denying Sexual Assaults at Occupy Victimizes Women All Over Again

I have said that the end of the Breitbart shouting video is telling, when a whiny girl is heard to say "what does he mean raping? I never raped anybody?" And there is the default from the collective to the individual. They want benefits as a collective, "we are the 99%, give us the fair share", etc. But when collective GUILT is proposed, they reflexively retreat into declarative individual innocence. How about some individual responsibility on the POSITIVE side? Get a job, get two jobs, make something of yourself, instead of declaring that because you are a part of a large collective, things are OWED to you. If you want collective booty, you must accept collective responsibility. I am quite sure the rapists and drug dealers do NOT belong to the 1% you are complaining about. Therefore they are part of the 99%, which you have spent the afternoon declaring you ARE, little girl. They are you and you are them. The collective. With collective guilt and collective responsibility to go along with all your collective benefits.

Big Government : Why Many Young People Love Ron Paul and Why Many Older People Despise Him

Paul would start WW4 in the middle east. His presently expressed views are just a green light to the mad mullahs and all the other Israel haters. And remember, the mullahs have repeatedly said out loud that Israel is the small problem, and "a world without America is not just desirable, it's achievable". They are out to bring us down. The weak horse. Paul has already communicated to them that we don't become strong until you cross our own borders against us. TOO LATE.

I will vote against Obama, no matter who the candidate is (it won't be Paul), and if we all show up and vote, then we'll get sixty five more congresspersons and perhaps 15 new senators this time (21 of 33 seats up this year are currently democrat) and we can shove whoever is president WAY to the right. Will of the people. Unity it is. But first, a spirited primary in which we do not pick Romney. :-)

Big Government : The Stop Online Piracy Act Pits Hollywood Against Tech and the American People

Dictatorships begin slowly, as bit by bit, citizen control is established. Chavez ceremonially "took over" all the free Venezuelan TV stations on the grounds that they were anti-government by broadcasting "dissident" programs. Now nobody in Venezuela can see or hear anything but the State line in broadcasting. The "Beautiful Incredible Revolution" that our FCC guy Mark Lloyd was praising in 2008, if you'll remember. In North Korea, the state sells radios with only one station on the dial. If you own a radio that gets more than the State frequence, you go to gulag, along with your parents and children. Their theory is that dissidence is a genetic flaw and whole families must be eliminated from breeding and carrying on the defective gene. SERIOUSLY. The old USSR featured a national news network, the ONLY news network for seventy years, whose name in Russian (Pravda) means TRUTH. slowly but surely, this crowd is going to prevent us from talking to each other, hearing each other's views, and hearing views that are opposed to THEIR view of government. Bit by bit, clawing their way there, leaving us all tied up in following the rules and unable to undo the damage because the courts and rulemakers are on THEIR side... this is not going well.

Big Hollywood : NY 'Supergroup' OWS Anthem Reveals Top 5 Ways Indie Rock Killed Protest Songs

so, so lame. THe old folks are desperately trying to recapture the zen of the sixties, to relive their glory days... and the young people, who have no CLUE what all that meant, who have grown up coddled and comfortable and are just lost and angry as adults in a world where they have to deliver actual value in order to prosper and do not know how to do it, are just out there sort of taking orders and being pointed in this or that direction. protest song? Battle lines bein drawn, nobody's right if everybody's wrong, young people speaking their mind, gettin so much resistance from behind.. tiresome, stale, lame, and ultimately purposeless. Unless actual descent into social chaos is their goal. But we have seen what happens in the petri dish of THEIR social chaos... it's frickin' TERRIBLE in those camps... is that what they want to bring us down to? useful idiots. THey will enable a dictatorship, and the night of the long knives will be making THEM disappear.

Brandon, a remarkable story. So many in your shoes have their conscience so heavily seared that they are never able to see what you saw. I believe this is a "grace of God" thing, that He reveals the truth to people who have the character to process it and make changes in their lives based on it.
Huntsman thinks tea partiers are insane. He has said, and clarified, as much this week. I predict this will not endear him to his base. :-) He is a technocrat and a "problem solver" and is not a fan of taking stands on principle. He claims to be electable, which everyone understands is a synonym for "not really conservative".

Big Government : Rick Santorum on the Freedom to Impose Your Values

Good grief, people. It is patently obvious in history that under some circumstances/traditions/rules people thrive, and under others there is decay and chaos. The original point of freedom, for the founding fathers, was twofold-- to be free to BE religious (or not, but most were), and to be free of excess tyrannical control/taxation/oppression. Santorum defends the eminently defensible, good and proven and constructive human values. The kind of values that make society thrive. Freedom cannot be merely pretending that all choices are equally available, thus implying equally moral and viable. Some choices are simply BETTER than others, and some much worse. Traditional American values, as the founding fathers saw them, are what Santorum defends. Truths are self-evident about what human beings are ONLY because the founding fathers saw the truths as rooted in Biblical Judeo Christianity. Without that, the self-evident truths are simply not evident at all. Praise to Santorum for being the last man standing who will defend these things, and articulately enough too. These are important things; society always decays and falls apart when it forgets what bound it together in the first place.

Big Government : The Left's War on the Second Amendment Continues as Gun Sales Skyrocket

Canadians do not have forty years of institutionalized black second-class citizenship in ghettos. Democrats have given us this, and it is in these inner cities where most gun crime is perpetrated, criminal on criminal. Democrats run these places and have since the 1960s, and they all vote for Democrats and more Democrats. The creation and expansion of the welfare state and the addiction of too many black families to it, this is the thing that is different between Canada and America. And it is also the thing that gun laws, per se, will not change. Gun crime in America is not committed by legal gun owners. It's committed by desperadoes and drug dealers and those who live in contempt of the law. IF Canadians had American-style inner cities, they'd have American style gun crime. And no gun law will stop it. It will only inflate the price of illegal guns and increase demand for them... as criminals find out that the public is disarmed, more and more crime will take place, a lot of it with guns, as they will know they won't get shot back. in places where gun control is stiffest, gun crime is usually highest. South Side Chicago, anyone? Washington DC? Not a lot of folks getting shot at in Wyoming, not many in Texas.
