My iPhone 3G got real bad after I tried installing UltraSn0w in Cydia. But after a lot of fiddling I got iTunes to find it. Don't stop trying, it might work out in the end. At least I hope it does! :) (Now I saw that you might have managed to hurt the baseband. But I hope it gets back on track anyway.)

It seemed to turn into a black hole honestly. Only vast blackness and the horrible Apple-logo peeking out from time to time. But after a while of fiddling iTunes finally noticed it and asked me if I wanted to restore it. :) I am thinking that it might have been caused by Cydia's servers being overrun by happy jailbrealking folks, but I'm not sure.

Oops, pardon me. The jailbreak on my 3G with RedSn0w went very well. OS4.0 ran smooth and pretty damn fine until I tried to unlock it. Note that I do not mean the 3GS-model, i wrote "my 3G's pretty life"! :)

As always, Dev Team has outsmarted Apple. :) Thanks a lot! Did a successfull JB with RedSn0W, then it all got messed up when I was going to unlock it. After a lot of forced restarts I finally got to fix it in iTunes. Realized I don't want to keep unlocking all the time so I've decided to do a 'real' unlock from my carrier this week. (Been using Dev Teams unlocks for so long I've forgotten my 1 year jailtime with my carrier is way over.) So for the rest of my 3G's pretty life all I have to do is JB:ing! Weeho! And, just to be certain, me getting this groovy unlock, will not affect any planned Jailbreaking? And it will not disappear since the unlock is in (connceted to) my IMEI? (Pardon my silly questions.)
